"With great power comes great coincidence"
Covering issues #9-17 of Joe Kelly's famous Deadpool run and a throwback to the classic Amazing Spider-Man #47 for referencing purposes, this third installment of the Classic series jumps right in on the action. Wade has a run-in with the oddball team "The Lightning Rods" but not before defeated the just-as-odd Deathtrap at his own game! Then, after a wonderfully-wrong teleporter malfunction, Deadpool and Blind Al are tossed into a 60s Spider-Man comic and, without completely $*@^ing up the timeline, Deadpool must pretend to be the nerdy Peter Parker and get back to the present with his Aunt May look-alike before anyone finds out! Then, back in present-day, he has a showdown with T-Ray that leaves him broken, physically and mentally and Typhoid Mary and the severe lack of Siryn make it all worse! Finally, Deadpool finds he's the chosen one and is taken to a secret lair within LL&L to fulfill his destiny! These issues all make for some really good reading and Joe Kelly's writing shines here with some quirky crap that only Deadpool's pie-hole can spew. McGuinness and Denton start off the book with their art that we all know and love and Pete Woods continuing and the genius behind the Romita-clone Spider-Man issue! McDaniel also contributes in a more realistic tone that works well for the later issues. There's also the original Spider-Man issue thrown in to catch newer readers up on the issue 11 references. Issue 11 in particular was done very well as to copy the look Romita had to make it look like Deadpool really was in the 60s fighting Kraven! Overall, this was a nice collection of issues and the Spider-Man issue made it all that much better! Definitely one to get!

Came late, stayed all night
I confess I really did not know much about Deadpool before previews for the Ryan Reynolds movie. That movie… That movie! That movie had me completely hooked on the character of Deadpool. I had to have more. I had heard that Ryan Reynolds was born to play that role, but far too often Hollywood changes everything about the beloved characters of novels, graphic or otherwise. I needed to know where Deadpool came from. To know if there was more of this character out there that I was missing. And was there ever! This particular Collection has the very amusing interaction between Deadpool and a goofball version of the avengers, taking over the Spiderman comic from the 1960s. It was not my favorite Deadpool, but I very much appreciate it and it was still worth reading. Where have you been all my life, Deadpool?

fantastic condition
I ordered these items New and that is how they came. The binding is in great shape, the pages are crisp, and above all, the storyline us fantastic (not that the company had much to do with that)!

Deadpool Forever
Wow, just wow! I'm really impressed on how they can make a person likeable despite having them do terrible things. This volume got dark surprisingly fast, but still has the goofball nature we come to expect from this series. I know that Deadpool isn't the best person, but he always does the right thing...eventually.

Hands down the best
I've started collecting the Deadpool classic volumes because I'm a Deadpool fan and I want to read through the Joe Kelly series, and this volume has both funny and dark moments and is a must read for any Deadpool fan.

It's Deadpool
This is where you begin to see the artwork we all (well, mostly me), know and love about Deadpool. Vol. 3 is where this collection really starts to pick up. You will want the next piece as soon as possible.Speaking of, time to order Vol. 4...
