Get this bike stand, and don't listen to the negative reviews.
Update: 2/4/2022.Still a great stand. The people that say this is "cheap" or "junk" are wrong. If this stand is junk then sign me up for more. I used this stand this weekend to fix up a bike I had purchased on Craigslist. The stand easily held the bike anyway I wanted it turned. I even turned it upside down, to add JBWeld to the head tube, so I could get the stem out. The stem on the bike was stuck because of dried paint, and would loosen after striking the stem with a hammer to loosen the fixing bolt. I used the hammer on the bike while in the stand as well. Next I was able to raise the bike higher, to eye level and work on the brakes and shifting. There was never a time when the stand was not sturdy, and reliable. The tool stand was great as well as the handlebar holder rod. I was able to place the clamp on the top tube and still shift through the gears without any trouble to the cables. I was able to mount the bike by the seat post as well, by turning the clamp. Held solidly no matter what position. I look forward to using it again. If you are on the fence over buying this, get it. Great price, good quality, compact storage, opens to a stable stand that can raise your bike to eye level without being wobbly.

Excellent Value / Product Features
Arrived new and undamaged. Installation was a snap. Love how portable it is. Took it this weekend to the trails so we could do a quick clean of the chains, rings etc... immediately after riding. Worked wonderfully. Had several people looking at the product while we were in the parking lot. Makes so much sense to do a quick clean up / wipe down before putting the bikes back on the rack and driving home. The front tire stablizer takes a moment to get the hang up - but once you do it's a great feature. I left the tool rack off as I want to keep the unit as slim line as possible for portability. Height and angle adjustment are easy. Very stable, good quality. Very happy! I'm now much more inclined to do smaller jobs maintenance myself as I don't have to try and hold the bike with one hand, balance, stand on my head etc... We are weekend warrior riders and it fits our needs to a T.

Great Stand if Assembled Correctly
The stand is actually easy to assemble. I only gave it 4 stars for ease of assembly since the instructions did not mention 1 essential detail. Several of the reviewers mentioned that the arm tilts with the weight of the bike and looks unstable. That's because it probably wasn't assembled correctly. One end of the upper part of the vertical has an end-cap, and although counter intuitive, this is the end that goes into the lower part of the vertical. The other end, the top of the vertical, has no end cap but has a small cut-out. The elbow connecting the arm to the vertical has a small tab on the inside that fits into the cut-out, and if assembled this way, the arm will remain straight and the stand stable. This is a great stand at a great price. I am in my 60's now, and by allowing me to work on my bike while standing straight, it has saved me from back trouble. A great investment!

Good bang for your buck!
I had been looking at repair stands, and wanted a nice one, but like many people I spent big money on my bike itself, so was looking for a decent work stand on a budget. Most of the stands I was initially looking at cost about 3x as much as this one. I considered the reviews carefully. Most were good, but a few were not. I figured I'd take a chance. The stand is well built and very sturdy. Holds my almost 30lb full suspension bike no problem, very stable. It is a little awkward clamping to the top tube, but as opposed to some reviews I had no problem clamping it to my seat post. However, as many of the reviews stated, I do have some concerns in regards to the clamp and teeth to rotate the angle of the clamp wearing out prematurely since they are plastic. I just got it yesterday, very easy to assemble only took about 10 min. I preformed a fork service on my bike last night using the stand and it made it so easy to work on. I will update this review after more use to report on how it's holding up. I think this will work just fine for a home mechanic, changing tires/wheels, cables, fork/shock service etc. I should also mention that the fact it's portable and folds down is great because I live in a small house with no garage. So I can set it up in my living room when I need to do work and then easily store it out of the way. The tool tray is a nice bonus too.I'm giving it 4 stars for quality and value combined. If it had been pricier it would only get three. But the quality at the price of around $50 puts it into the four star category.

Impressive stand
This is a great bike stand for $50. I use it to work on my 35lb all-mountain bike as well as my much lighter road bike, and it handles them both with no issues, it's very stable. It folds up fairly compact and isn't very heavy, so it's easy to store and transport. There are a few nuances to consider with this stand:- It works best to clamp the bike on the frame close to the CG rather than on the seat post, otherwise the extendable arm will tilt forward because the adjustment screw doesn't hold it that tight. If your bike's cables are exposed and run along the top of the frame then this might be an issue (just in that you won't be able to shift or brake while clamped). It's not an issue as long as the cables are contained in a housing, which is the case on most mountain bikes.- Make sure the metal tubes on the stand are fully inserted into the plastic connector pieces, or else it will put excessive stress on them and potentially cause them to fail. On each of the plastic pieces there is a slit running down the side so you can see how far the tube is inserted, make sure you can see orange tubing along the entire length of the slits.- The rubber strap at the end of the wheel holder is tough to snap into place because the rubber is so hard, that's really my only complaint about this stand.Buy it!
