Eddera's designer, Camille, is a French jeweler living in Los Angeles. In 1996, she attended the very prestigious Ecole Du Louvre in Paris—the jewelry school of the Louvre. She was one of the fifteen students accepted into the elite program and was fortunate enough to study under Adalbert Smoliar, the head jeweler for Van Cleef and Arpels. Simultaneously, she attended the French Institute of Gemology. She graduated in 2000 as a bijoutier-joaillier and a gemologist. While in Paris, Camille worked for Boucheron and Chopard. After moving to the United States in 2001, Camille was discovered in an elevator by photographer Markus Klinko and unexpectedly began a modeling career. She soon became very successful, working for top photographers such as Ellen Von Unwerth and Robert Maxwell, eventually becoming the face of Noxzema skin care. She kept making jewelry for herself and developed a distinct style: mixing vintage elements with modern jewels. Soon enough, her friends bought her pieces and asked for more. Personal stylists Lisa Michelle Boyd (Charlize Theron, Diane Kruger, Megan Fox) and Charline Roxborough (Nelly Furtado, Kanye West) began borrowing Camille’s pieces to complete red carpet outfits. In January 2008, Camille officially launched Eddera. In January 2009, celebrity hairstylist Adir Abergel (Sienna Miller, Anne Hathaway, Keira Knightley, Maria Sharapova) asked Camille to create a line of high-end hair accessories. This led to the creation of a series of headbands that have now been seen on Victoria Beckham, Sarah Jessica Parker, and many others
