The material works very well as a substitute cutting board. The sliding cutter also works well.

I've been using plastic cutting sheet (the ones that come in sets of 4) for years. When I saw this product I thought, "How interesting," and decided to give it a try. I like how I can cut a sheet to fit my wood cutting board exactly. I get multiple uses out of one sheet and I like picking it up to slide easily the vegetables (or any other food) right into the bowl or pan. I always had to dispose of my thicker sheets after a few years of use because they had too many knife cut in them and began to hold food in the crevices despite being washed in the dishwasher. With the disposable sheets, I can wash them off after using them, and then I throw these sheets away if they get any cuts in them because liquid then seeps onto the cutting board. The only thing that has cut through them is an Ulu from Alaska. It is super sharp, and when I use it to chop lettuce (rocking it back and forth in the lettuce) I end up cutting the plastic. My Japanese Santuko knife from Amazon, which is also super sharp, doesn't cut into the plastic. I've used these sheets for several months now, and I'm still happy with my purchase. I really like that they are recyclable and BPA free.

This product is so convenient and easy to use. The best part is that I can easily cut off exactly what I need so there is no waste. The plastic is thick enough and usable, especially if I use the plastic to cut veggies. I will definetly purchase this product again!

I have gone through so many cutting boards because they get knicks and cuts. I tried purchasing cutting boards mats, but they also get easily knicked and cuts. When I saw this product I thought I'd give it a try. It seems more durable that the mats, and can be used more than once. Very easy to clean. If I use it to cut chicken or meat I simply toss it. It can be cut to any size. I definitely will purchase this again.
