This stuff really cleans a coffee pot. The directions are screwy, though, just drawings. As I understand it, and eventually began using it this way, you put the liquid in the pot and dilute with water. Scrub with a stiff bristle brush to remove the scale. It actually liquifies it as you scrub. You can't just put it in as swish it around. That doesn't work. But, if you have a mechanical action to work the cleaner into the stains it will cause them to release from the pot, and it becomes perfectly clean. It also appears to coat the pot to help prevent the coffee from sticking during subsequent brew cycles, so frequent cleanings aren't necessary.

Urnex Clearly Coffee is the most impressive cleaning product I’ve even used. I’ve used other similar products, and they often required letting the pot sit for hours, and even then, those products did not come close to the effectiveness of Clearly Coffee. I use it regularly to clean a stainless steel vacuum walled coffee pot, and it works wonders.As some other reviewers have noted, the instructions are not clear about what amount of the cleaner to use; I use about 3 squirts for a 12 cup coffee pot and it sit for at least 30 minutes. While it does a pretty good job on its own, I use a Scotch-Brite bottle brush to really get the pot clean.I can’t recommend this product enough. If you have a coffee pot, get it!

I would give this 5 stars but, enough with the hieroglyphics instructions!!!!!!!!!!!! Why can't companies simply write proper usage instructions out on the label???!!!!!So fed up with companies "playing" to those who cannot or will not read!

Worked great on my stainless steel coffee pot stains

The media could not be loaded. We used these on some 10 year old coffee tumblers, and the insides are practically new. We poured in a few squirts, followed by hot water, and then scrubbed with a basic bottle brush. Would definitely recommend this to anyone who needs to clean their metal coffee tumblers.

Product apparently worked well in cleaning gunk in carafe. There was no literal direction on the use of product...only pictoral images.

It worked! I put 3 squirts of the cleaner and filled the coffee pot to the rim with hot water and let it sit for about 5 mins. I was amazed that all the brown stuff cleaned off on its own! I only used a brush for a few spots. And my glass pot was as good as new! I'll definitely be buying this again!
