Mario Camacho Foods Black Olives, Jumbo Pitted, 5.75 Ounce (Pack of 12)

Have purchased these many times in the past and although they were soft and slightly bitter, they were pretty good. But the case I just ordered were outstanding. The olives are no longer soft rather they almost have a slight crunch to them. A great improvement in texture. Also the slight bitterness is totally gone. Tried these out on family members and they all said these were the best black olives they have ever had. I had to write Mario Camacho to find out the reason for this improvement. I mean, was it the time of year, different olive source. or different processing? Their response was they have addressed the bitterness issue. Really that tells me nothing at all but I won't pursue it further. Just hope they keep doing whatever it is they're doing.

We use a LOT of olives in cooking, including these black babies.I find that green olives pack a little better punch, but these are plenty adequate for many dishes. We order these in quantity on Amazon's automated resupply service, and have done so for several years.

This brand shocked me. ALL olives I have ever tasted, just tasted like salty, mush and it took forever to build up a tolerance for them in food. Like when I tried Concorde grapes for the first time and thought, "Oh! That's where grape flavor comes from," I finally see how olive oil has a flavor like...olives. These olives have a nice firm bite and, surprisingly enough, taste like olive oil.Now, the reason we stared buying these is because my 5 y/o has a very limited palette for veggies and began voraciously consuming olives. So to meet his demand, and lower the sodium, we ordered these (the low sodium ones first) in bulk. Having NO salty flavor took us aback, and my son didn't like them, so after brining the first batch, we ordered these, and he is happy with them.

Lately I have been suspicious of the jumbo store brand olives. It seemed to me that the large size olives had become the new jumbo and I was still paying premium dollar for a can. Today I opened a can of these olives from Amazon, well I nearly fainted. Amazon olives were twice the size of the store brand jumbo. Not only were they bigger but crisper, juicier and far more tasty than what I had been buying. From now on I will be buying my olives from the net. I still can't believe the difference.

I really hate leaving bad reviews but felt I had to for my Keto friends. The cans had rust on the edges and many were dented. The taste was terrible too. I trusted the reviews on this one but won't buy again

Ordered 12 cans. All were bent except for 2 cans. The box was from Amazon and by the looks of the box, it must have traveled around the world.

Forget inferior California olives, these black olives are by far the best I have ever had! I won't buy any other brand again!!
