So far so good for SD card play, except....
So far so good, but I've only used it for a few days. I'd give 4 1/2 if I could.I was specifically looking for a decent speaker that played from an SD card...I honestly have no use for Bluetooth yet as Bluetooth in general doesn't seem to function well enough to be worthwhile, no matter what system I've encountered. I haven't tried it on this device, so my review doesn't cover that. The only thing I'm docking a bit of the score from is the fact that when you turn the entire device off, it loses your place in the tracks and starts at the beginning.I'd like to find something as simple as this that will keep track of where it leaves off. I have a 700+ file playlist on the card, with a large number of long prog tracks...these are anywhere from 8 minutes to over an hour for file size, averaging Tarkus length (about 20 min per track).I use the speaker at work, which means that I have it on for a bit, and then if a client comes in or I have student workers in, I have to turn it off for a fair length of time.I didn't dock the rating for the following, since it was pretty clear from the product description that volume and track buttons were the same. I don't dock points for what I'm warned about in the product description. However: I am finding there is a such thing as too minimalistic. I would much prefer to have separate buttons for volume. Having to hold it means that it's very hard to hit the sweet spot for volume...and when you get close and try to fine tune it you usually end up clicking through tracks instead. I knew what I was getting, but I didn't realize just how impractical that would be when I need to finagle the volume to keep it at precisely the level that suits a work environment in a library office (that is, loud enough to hear in the office but not loud enough to hear outside the closed door). So, just warning people on that, and maybe putting my voice out there for future product design. That said, anyone looking for good sound....it appears to vary from user to user judging by the other reviews, but for my experience, playing from the SD card (at home when I first tested the volume), it plays clearer than anything else I've ever owned at high volume, without noise artifacts. I don't have a lot of money so everything else I've ever tested always has noise artifacts/distortion at moderate to high volume. I didn't detect any here.Again...only the third day I've used this, but no problems yet other than the minor irritations mentioned.

One star if using with a DishNetwork Hopper3
Could be 5 stars, however I bought this to pair with my Dish Network Hopper3 ... and it drops out after a few minutes. I tried it with my iPhone 5 and it worked flawlessly. I tend to believe it is primarily Dish Network's fault, since I bought their own headphones and on occasion the audio drops out for a few seconds then resumes normally. I'm thinking this speaker doesn't recover from the Dish drop (or whatever it is) and thus looses the audio all together. It does remain paired, just no audio. If it wasn't for that I really like the weight and size of this little beauty. After turning it off it does not remember the volume setting so you have to redo that every time you power on (unless your source sets the volume). It also uses the less popular mini-USB so consider that as well if you have some of those dual-lightning/micro USB cords (where the cap pulls off for micro).

Happy overall
I am really happy with this purchase. My laptop speakers suddenly developed static so I thought I would try this. I am very happy overall. My only complaints (and I will admit some of these are probably user error) are the volume is kind of tricky to use. Sometimes if I don't hold it down just right it will skip a track instead of adjusting the volume. I wish it had bigger sd card capability, but I realize that would affect the design. My biggest complain is lack of a convenient mute button. For some reason I keep pressing the silver button on top thinking it is a mute button.I work alone in an office so I listen to stuff pretty loud but then when the phone rings, it would be nice to be able to quickly turn it off. As I said above, I am happy with the device. A convenient (not having to pick up the device) mute would move this to 5 stars. *I can't comment on the phone/mic capability, I have not used that feature.

Don't waste your money!
Worked great for the first week I had it and then has been on the fritz ever since. It either plays no sound, gives a high pitched squeal or plays really low. I would not recommend this product and am quite irritated that I cannot even return or exchange it. Looks like I will have to buy another speaker from another company.

This little guy is just awesome. Very loud which really surprised me
This little guy is just awesome. Very loud which really surprised me. Easy to set up and it paired with my iPhone in no time at all. Once it has been paired it doesn't have to be paired again, when my iPhone is on the Glycon comes on instantly. I'm glad I didn't get one of the other ones that I looked at. Also the power lasts a long time. I had an audio book on for at least 4 hours and probably could have listened up to the 5 hours they said it would hold a charge. Also it recharges very fast.

very powerful for its size
has great tone and volume. My wife uses this when she teaches a yoga class. She tethers it with a cable to an iPod for background music. The battery seems to last for hours – amazing for such a tiny device. The only product improvement that I would recommend is for the micro SD card slot. The opening in the case could do a better job of guiding the card into the slot in the internal chassis. In general we are enjoying the device.
