Safe in the Shower
I picked up my chair almost a week ago. I couldn't wait to get it home and assemble it. I'm in my seventies. Standing in the shower now is both painful and dangerous because I could fall. Falling isn't a good idea at my age. My first suggestion is that if you or someone you love is getting older, this is a good, responsible purchase. The chair is excellent, sturdy and comfortable. I'll get to the grab bar shortly. In assembling the chair I made a mistake. The instructions are excellent, step by step and easy to follow. I just missed one segment. I assembled the crossbar supports before attaching the back to the seat. If you make that mistake, don't fret. You will just need to remove 4 screws and can easily attach the back properly. It's just more efficient if you don't blank out on that part of the instructions like I did. The chair's footprint should be narrow enough to fit almost any bathtub. The grab bar does not have instructions and isn't exactly obvious in operation. The bar has a pair of suction cups and blue levers on the top side that operate those cups. To install the bar, raise the tabs so that they stick up above the handle's surface, wet the suction cups, place the bar where you want it and then flip the tabs back down so that they are flush with the handle. I say "flip" but that requires some strength. By "flipping" the tabs you are creating some powerful suction. You want this operation to be hard for safety sake. Assembled in this way the grab bar is so solid that it will seem like a part of the shower stall. One piece of advice I think may be useful is that, if you have a tiled shower stall rather than a 1-piece heavy duty plastic installation, make sure that the suction cups cover one tile for each cup. If the suction cups overlap the tiles to the grout in between, the mount may loosen over a few uses and need repeated reinstallation. In short, I would definitely buy this chair and grab bar combination again for myself or someone I cared about.

It did what it said it would
I needed this chair for a disabled family member who can not stand in a shower stall. It was easy to put together, but the directions were a bit sketchy/vague.I sorted it out in due time but the diagrams could be improved upon. The chair works perfectly.I was worried about the blue padding as it's just a foam sheet with adhesive on the back.I thought it might peel off but it's been 2 months now and so far, so good. This chair hold a lot of weight, which is why I chose it over other chairs. My disabled family member is by no means overweight but there are others in the household who are, so I needed to make sure the chair held up in the event that they tried to use it....and I'm sure they have.Well worth the money even if the instructions are lacking.

Nice chair
10/23/2020 Received the chair and has put it to good use🚿. I honestly bought this chair because my fiance and I are so tired at the end of the day from work with all of the extra cleaning due to Covid-19. I'm tired and this chair allows us to complete our hygiene very comfortably. I honestly haven't seen any suction with the legs, but when I sit down it doesn't move. I think my weight keeps it in place. I live in a small apt.and it fits well in the standard tub. I like the insets that allow us to hang items&the cushion is soft. It doesn't scratch my bum bum🤪The adjustable height allows us to swivel around and lift our feet out of the tub in order to stand up. I do spray it off and tilt it over to prevent water from pooling. We haven't used the suction bar because we're not confident enough that it will be secure to hold us. It's great for light use and I believe it will last a while if we take care of it. Buy it and Try it😊

Great product once I got it assembled!
Overall a great product. Did run into an assembly snafu regarding the lower cross support pieces below the seat. Each one of the cross tubes has a nut insert thread in each end of the horizontal tubes. These thread inserts are used for the thumb screws that connect the cross pieces to each leg. The problem encountered was that the thread inserts we're not pushed far enough into the ends of the tubes thereby you could not get the little black nylon pieces in that also get inserted into the ends of the tubes prior to alignment with the legs.I ended up having to use a drift pin and hammer to drive these threaded inserts deeper into the tubes to be able to accept the nylon pieces. It was kind of a pain but did get them repositioned sufficiently to continue assembly which then went okay. That aside, I'm very satisfied with this product and it is very sturdy and well thought-out. The bonus grab handle has me sold on the effectiveness of the suction grab handles. This one works incredibly well and I will be purchasing additional ones.

Very bad instructions.
This is a very sturdy chair.Instructions are basically useless. The cute little booklet, and I mean little, is extremely hard to see the words and more importantly the pictures. When assembling you need to look at the pictures to make sure you line things up correctly.Manufacturer Spend the $1 and give us just printed sheet s of paper.I chose to use it without the pads because of cleaning the seat. Water and dirt from your body can become lodged in between the pads and the seat and back. I was also concerned about the adhesive coming off with the water and soap.I do recommend this chair.

Sturdy chair
I ordered this chair with the cross bars for the extra support. Our old one didn't have the cross bar and the legs were starting to bend. The chair us sturdy and works perfect for our stand up shower. The handle grip that comes with the chair doesn't have the best suction cups, when any pressure was used to pull oneself up, the grab handle would slip. Lucky we have another one thats sturdy. I would recommend this chair.

Excellent chair for a small tub
It was easy for my daughter in law to put together, not for me! Lol But the chair was a excellent choice for him, because he can't stand for periods of time. It is well made and very sturdy. He even likes the suction handle. Sometimes he has to reset it to the tub, but it is a definite bonus to help him balance and get up off chair. I would definitely buy this item again!
