Real metal, but you don't get the stand and my initial set of horns didn't match
The feel of the build quality is nice. It is a heavy metal and looks the part. I bought this as a gift for someone else for Halloween. I got it in in time but when I pulled it out of the box and screwed the horns into the helmet, one horn was similar to what is shown in the picture while the other one went straight out and then took a sharp curve up. The horns weren't even close to matching. I contacted the seller and they asked me to send the horns back and they would attempt to find some replacement ones. I did. They did. and I got them around Thanksgiving. So needless to say, they didn't come quickly and they waited until a few days after I got confirmation they got the horns before they even started looking for a new set (I had to email them to ask and to let them know that the tracking number showed they had arrived back to them). At the end of it, they refunded me the return shipping costs and they paid to ship the new horns out. These ones were a lot closer of a match and it was well received.Pros:Build quality of the metal parts of the helmet is really nice.Cons:You may get random horns that don't even come close to matching.One of the metal rivets inside was bent and if someone tried to put it on, it would definitely do some damage to your head.The stand that is shown in the picture does not come with it. I found out the hard way and had to order one for around 15 dollars on Amazon. (Don't ever trust the picture is the moral of the story).The helmet comes lathered in oil and has plastic wrap on it. When I got the box, the oil had soaked the packaging so that it had a nice oil spot on the bottom of the box. Too bad I didn't realize this until after I picked it up from our ottoman.Overall, the person it was given to was very pleased, it just wasn't what the picture displayed (no matching horns, no stand). I actually ordered this and paid a few bucks more over another vendor because this one showed a stand in the picture and I thought it shipped with it.
