It's a nice looking pen but the mechanism isn't as smooth as a Mont Blanc.

This Pen Holds it's Own Against the Bigger Names without a doubt!
This pen is flat out one of the nicest I own. I have several other high end pens, and have to say this one for "short writing periods" is truly enjoyable! With the serious heft, you may not want to write for extended periods of time with it. However that is of course subjective from person to person. As far as performance, I love it! I also have to say the ink for a nice dark black does the job very well! Just remember, make sure your paper is of good quality, the two go hand in hand. I use Rhodia paper from France and find it a great match! There are of course lower costing paper out there, but then if your spending the money to use this pen, spend the money on good quality paper.Im considering buying my wife one as well. This is a great presentation pen for a gift, the eyebrows do go up! Should have seen my wife's face when she saw me open the box...ha, I could truly tell she wished it had been for her....christmas may just bring her one! They also come with a GREAT traveling case! While the case I have from Xezo is for two pens...frankly I fit 4 pens inside...they are not all Xezo, one is a waterman, other is a Mont Blanc, and two others are that take turns placed inside are Vicanti pens. I can't say this pen beats the Vicanti, but it does in my opinion beat the waterman to a large degree and honestly, it give Mont Blanc ink nowhere to go. Mont Blanc ink just does not hold up as this ink does. Xezo truly holds its own against the other often more well known top shelf pens ...so to speak. Highly recommend!!

Looks good but don’t write with it.
The media could not be loaded. I purchased this pen in 2020 but never used it. Finally started to use it in 2022. Before the first ink cartridge could even be used the pen came apart from the screw section and the inner section moves now. You can’t screw the pen back together. It’s basically worthless now. Looks good for a display piece but I recommend if you plan to use the pen, don’t buy this one!
