Traxxas 68054-1-GRN Slash 4x4 XL-5 Short Course Truck Green 1/10 Scale 4-Amp DC

Just received my truck today (4/22/2021). Was not happy with the shipping speed but it's here so I am good now. Good: I got the brushed ESC/Motor, upgrade later, and it is pretty quick for a brushed motor! Very responsive, easy to handle once you get used to the speed. That is one reason I wanted to start "slow" . My son just got the brushless version and it is crazy fast! Now for the "Bad": Ran it for about 20 minutes and it just stopped pulling. My first thought was ESC/Motor got hot and it just did a thermal protection shutdown. Got to the truck and pulled the throttle and the motor was spinning but nothing else. Popped the spur/pinion cover off the motor and the pinion gear set screw had backed out and the gear was just spinning on the shaft. Lucily I had already purchased a 19T upgrade so easy fix. Slightly irked that when I contacted Traxxas they said warranty did not cover that and never offered to make it right. I plan on buying more Traxxas. I ordered 4 more replacement pinion sets, only $3 each. Overall I think I will really like this truck and plan on buying more! 3 stars are for the shipping speed and pinion issues.....

Came in sooner than expected and my husband was a happy birthday boy! It’s his second slash, he really wanted colored rims and it’s hard to find em so he loves his black and white Fox but he also has another shell the red one. So for his Bday he got this green one loves that it came with the colored rims it’s awesome. His 10th traxxas car to add to his collection💚

It arrived way sooner than I thought it was going to and I've taken it off jumps and tall ledges it seems to soak up punishment pretty good only thing it was missing was mini jegs stickers to slap on the side definitely worth it.

I bought 2 and my 2 sons abuse them and they still work great. Only problem I had was battery in vehicle got so low I couldn’t charge it. Called traaxxas and they sent me a trickle charge for free 😀.

Unable to rate in full due to purchase and was defective and wanted to replace but didn't have the option. Wanted to rebuy but price increased by $100.00. Refund took about 3 weeks to get back.
