I am also an art journal/mixed media artist and have used UHU glue on an off for years. I used others throughout the years but in taking recent on line classes, most. if not all of my teachers recommend this brand so that is what I use now. Recently, I have had a hard time finding it in local stores plus it was never in a quantity of more than one so it's nice that Amazon has lots of UHU options. I did not pay attention to my last order and received the mini ones. Those work well on small items so I will use and buy both from now on. UHU adheres well and seems to be long lasting. As with any glue, keeping the lid on when not in use it vital or it will dry out. When that happens to me, I slice a tiny bit of top layer off with my blade and it's good to go.

This glue is my go-to for paper (making envelopes, primarily). Easy to use, great packaging, avoids messes, dries clear. I can't seem to find a local outlet to purchase directly, so I'm grateful to Amazon for the availability of a favorite product AND for fast shipping!

I looked around and found these the best buy. They are packaged well. The glue sticks work well on the paper, and cardstock I am using.

I was looking for a glue stick to attach mailing labels as an alternative to using plastic tape. I read the reviews of various glue stick products and chose this one: UHU 99655 Glue Stick, 1.41 oz I am attaching paper to paper, and it absolutely works. After a few minutes it's impossible to lift the label without tearing it off the mailer. I'm 100% happy with this product. Based on my initial uses it appears that the 1.41 oz stick will last a reasonable amount of time. Of course, it's in a plastic container (seemingly impossible to get away from plastic), with a convenient screw at the bottom to feed the glue upward, and I have no idea of the environmental baggage of the glue and it's production, but I hope that it's better environmentally than using a lot of tape, and for recycling purposes, the mailing envelopes I'm sending are now completely free of plastic. If you are going to attach paper to paper, I think you will be satisfied with this product.

I use this glue stick for collage art primarily with magazine pages and vintage hardback book pages. This glue is the BEST!!! It is VERY forgiving. Not just during your initial use...but even days or weeks later. It releases easily when I change my mind to “edit” my piece. It does so with little to no damage especially with higher quality paper. I’ve tried to find it in all the typical craft stores but they have never heard of it. What is available in those stores does not come close in comparison to Uhus performance. Plus, it has a present light scent. Will never use another brand unless I’m forced to...EVER!!
