I had some mildew spots on my toon that vinyl cleaners wouldn't touch. This cleaner is a gel so it sprays on thick and stays in place pretty well allowing it to work. Most of the mildew disappeared after wiping it off after a couple minutes, and more stubborn stains were removed after a 2nd spray and mild scrubbing with a stiff bristle brush (I used something like an oversized toothbrush). I was very impressed by how well it worked, and the price was significantly less than other multi part marine cleaners that are being heavily marketed. The before and after pics tell the story.

This works just like the advertisements and videos! Literally, you can spray and walk away! My bf has been trying to clean the mildew off of his light cream boat seats for three years w/ different chemicals w/ no success. After plenty of research, I thought I’d give it a try…and it worked! My bf is now looking forward to taking his boat out again because he’s not agonizing of having to clean it and it not come clean.I ordered the 20 oz. and it was able to clean my bf’s 21 foot deck boat. However, I noticed there’s some areas I missed, so I ordered another 20 oz. and protectant spray together.

My parents have an older pontoon that for years has been used on the weekends heavily and "put away wet". The cover became less and less water resistant and more and more water absorbent. Mildew had taken over almost all of the surfaces. We have tried a few different products and some elbow grease without much success. I figured I would give this a try and HOLY MOLY.....did this do the trick. I just sprayed the gel, used a soft cleaning brush to kinda "even it out" and let it sit for a few minutes. I then just wiped it off with a wet rag. Very Very impressed. My only complaint is that the straw for the bottle seemed to be short by about 2 inches. I have about a 3rd of the product let and just cannot get it to come out. (I did try to just dump a little product out onto the rag and then apply to the seats, and it just didnt seem to work as well as coming straight from the bottle. Not sure why). Anyway....I dont typically write reviews, but this one deserved the time and kuddos.

I have a pontoon boat and after bringing it out of winter storage had some ugly mildew stains on the vinyl upholstery. I tried using Meguiar's Marine/RV Vinyl & Rubber Cleaner & Protectant and it didn’t budge the stains. After reading some reviews I decided to try this product and I am so glad i did. This worked better than expected restoring the upholstery to looking like new. I also treated the areas cleaned with 303 Marine Aerospace Protectant to restore any UV protectant that this cleaner may have stripped off in the process.

I have used other products in the past that did a decent job, but over the years my vinyl seats have gotten worse and worse, the other products just couldn’t do it anymore. I was just about to give up and replace my vinyl but figured I would give marine 31 a shot. This stuff worked.. The gel helped suspend the product on vertical surfaces, and it literally just melted the mildew away. I lightly agitated with a magic eraser pad and then rinsed it off, best these seats have ever looked. If you have stubborn mold/mildew that won’t come off with other cleaners I highly recommend the marine 31 gel!
