Nicely polished crystal clear optical ends. I'd recommend these for anyone using these cables for professional audio. Probably a little too good for home audio systems (much cheaper ones will do the same for you), but for high-resolution recording etc., these will be a better fit than the cheaper ones, simply because you would want to keep the jitter down as low as you can.Remember toslink/adat type cables simply 'stream' audio bit data, there is no FEC (forward error correction) or similar technology to verify data accuracy, so this is why spending a little more gives you the added insurance of knowing the weakest link in the chain is as good as you can get it.

use this going into a rather expensive DAC (chord qutest) and it's fine more than does the job, don't waste money on brand-name digital cables.The only thing that's not needed here and really needs to be thought about if you pull cables in and out a lot is that the insertion tip is metal and all female connectors of devices are plastic it will cause wear to the optical inlet on your device eg PlayStation, TV , DAC so be careful. There is no electrical connection here the metal is not needed it just adds weight.

Did just what it said on the tin

Bought new sound bar and used this lead to upgrade from the standard optic lead that is supplied. And noticed strait away how much better the sound is. Well worth the purchase
