Operation Protect Christmas Tree
We haven’t had ornaments on our Christmas tree in three years due to the cats...due to one feline in particular who is three years old and thinks they exist solely for him to torment. I decided to get serious this year. Introducing Operation Protect Christmas Tree. Phase 1: motion detector that blasts water type substance and makes scary noise when the interlopers come near. Phase 2: Should said assailants attempt to circumvent Phase 1 with an air assault via the window sill, the plastic cones of certain cat paw death will take them out and hurl them back down into the path of Phase 1. So far, the Christmas tree is safe and secure. There are not any presents under it yet though...that will be the true test as those shiny bows and strings are cat heroin. We shall see in the days and weeks ahead. Stay strong trees; we’re fighting for you!!!

Worth a try
The cat here likes to hop up into the kitchen window sill when the window is left open. I don't think we could ever reasonably deter her from hopping up when we aren't looking but perhaps if we can deter her from the sill, she will realize there's no point. It was really easy to put it in the window sill and it fits the window here well. Almost like it was made for it. Easy peezy. She will definitely not sit on this. I got the white plastic set. Only time will tell if it discourages her interest in hopping on the counter all together but she aint in the kitchen sink window sill and that's a big start.Product is well made, sturdy and exactly as described.I was a bit concerned about Amazon packing method as it can be a lil crazy sometimes but I was happy to find these very well packaged and secure in a custom box, so they weren't flailing all spikey n such in the box with my other items.

Keeps birds off my gazebo rails
I had birds pooping on the rails of my gazebo, and after I laid down strips on the most active roosting places, there has been no bird activity. Right now only on two of the7 rails, but that is all I need for now. i used double stick tape for outdoors to hold in place, but there are holes for either screws or nails.

Not effective
Did not work for my five months old kitten. He does not like these, tries to avoid them, but would walk thru them if he really wants to get to something. I placed one if these on the kitchen countertop to keep my cat off and away from the sink. My cat would try to walk around it. If that did not work, he would just walk on it. Does not stop him at all.

Not good for smaller birds
I have birds that like to sit on the windowsills of our shed and admire themselves in the windows after a nice lunch of berries. The mess this causes and it stains the white trim of the shed. Bought these and installed them with no troubles at all. Woke up the next morning and a bird is sitting right on the strip and destroying the power washing that I did the day before. Not recommended as a smaller bird deterrent.

Save your money-doesn't work
I sit in my yard watching the squirrels run over the 5 feet long double wide strips like it was not even there- It was a complete waste of money..

No more bird poop on the deck!
It works! The pesky bird stopped sitting on our awning right above the deck door. I need to fill in some gaps on the second awning to stop his little friend who found an open spot!
