I ordered this to help tame and straighten my relatively short beard and it worked far better than I expected. I was using my girlfriends larger brush style straightener with moderate success, but with this I can really get the problem hairs under the chin that are just to short right now for the bigger style straighteners. The shorter, single row of teeth style allows me to get that nice groomed look even when my beard is only a few inches long.

After seeing so many different advertisements for this product I decided to give it a try. I was very disappointed to see it doesn’t work. The heated portion of this product gets extremely hot and still with this amount of heat it doesn’t do a thing for your hair other then make it frizzy and both your head and beard. The idea of this product is very cool however I don’t think this particular product nailed it.

This product has the potential to be great, but it did not work at all as expected for me. My fiance has really thin har, so the bristles were too spaced apart to even grab his hair, and I have very thick curly hair so all it did for me was BARELY smooth it out at the root (I bought it for my fiance because there's no way this thing was going to work on my whole head but I like to have my hair straighter at the root). I would maybe suggest this for men with medium-thick short hair who are just looking to smooth out the top of their hair. Just didn't work for me

Loved everything about it except that I couldn’t control the temperature. It’s lightweight so no stress on the arms and it takes approximately 35-40 secs to get up to temperature and then it’s ready to use. It DOES straighten even the most course and curly of beards. Ask me how I know? The trick is to aleady have combed through it with a good long toothed comb to the point where the comb doesn’t snag and then use the straightener. DO NOT USE ON WET BEARD!!!! Only slightly moist to dry. I’ve found my beard to respond best when I pat dry out of the shower and after applying my favorite oil or beard cream LIGHTLY!... my beard looks longer and fuller and it has a shine that makes me look famous when I go out Friday nights. Seriously... lol

This product heats up fairly quickly and is easy enough for my husband to pull through his beard but it doesn't straighten his course beard hair as well as I would like it to. It definitely tidies up the look of his beard overall but it doesn't deliver the end result that a quality flat iron would. Overall, it works and creates an improvement in the look of his beard so I can't be mad for the price!

My husband loves this thing. He doesn't have a really long beard, but it's long enough that it needs a little help in the fizzing department. This helped smooth everything out and worked perfectly. He uses it for his mustache also and he says it helps. Definitley reccomend!

I will be honest..I figured this was NOT made for ethnic hair....but it works very well. It would be nice to have the comb teeth closer together, but it works. When I initially used it I figured I had to always put product in my beard before I started. It actually responds better with nothing in it. I am a little skeptical how long it will last. Because it gets so hot, feel it's goi got burn out. However....so far...great results!

Bought for my boyfriend who is african American and has very tightly curled beard. Helps straighten it out and showed him how LONG he actually grew it! Def helps for maintenance and helping to groom. Only thing is it doesn’t have a temp gauge and I feel it could get a tad bit hotter. But other than that it’s great
