Hayward GLX-PC-12-KIT 10K Thermistor Temperature Sensor with 15-Feet Cable Replacement Kit for Hayward Salt Chlorine Generators

Purchased this to replace temperature sensor on our Goldline/Hayward Salt system. No issues at all and fir just fine during an easy install. Has worked without problem for almost 5 months now.

I went to the pool store and checked stock on this temp sensor. They did not have it in stock thank goodness because the price was outrageous so I thought I would check on line and wouldn't you know it, it was half the price and worked perfectly!

Very easy to install. The only thing was that you need to confirm that you have an appropriate screwdriver for the screw used to attach it to the circuit board on the controller. The screws were too small for a standard flat head and the smaller one I had was too small. Need the next one up that I did not have. Other than that, very straightforward.

This is exactly the same generic sensor you can buy for $10 or $15 less from elsewhere on Amazon. My last one only lasted two years so I thought I'd pay more for the actual part and get a longer lifespan. I guess not, more money for the same cheap part. If you look closely at the picture you can tell they just put a Hayward barcode over the original packaging’s bar code.

I have a Goldstein / Hayward system and it started to show my pool temperature at 203 degrees F. I know I live in Florida but really?! So I started to call around the pool stores but most of them did not stock this sensor. Even though they can order it (with option to install), I decided to purchase this one on my own to fix.The sales transaction was easy, took only 4 days to arrive. On the installation, if you can handle using a screw driver and are not afraid of opening your control panel for the pool (maybe 3-4 screws, tops), this job will just take about 15 minutes. The most challenging part is actually removing the temperature sensor from the pipe but it's not difficult. A little bit of elbow grease can easily save you lots of $$.My vote is be handy, buy this product and do this one yourself. First, thank god for YouTube. Second, thank god for amazon. I went to heat up my spa to relax in only to find out that it didn’t heat up. The tempature of my spa indicated it was 100 degrees, however, it was clearly around 65 degrees when I felt the water. After researching my problem via YouTube I determined that I needed to replace my tempature probe. I spoke to several pool stores who were telling me that it would cost about $150 to fix. Not wanting to pay that amount I looked on amazon and found what o need for a very low price. This item was shipped to me in a day and I installed in about 5 minutes. I turned the pool on and my pool tempature indicated it was 68 degrees which was the correct tempature of the pool. I was so happy to have my pool back to normal and doing this by only spending less than $25. Thanks.

This is the OEM replacement and works perfectly to replace a failed sensor. If you are ed replacing an old sensor, you only need a screwdriver for the clamp and a tiny screwdriver to connect the wires to the controller. The included O ring seals the sensor to you pipe perfectly. Received the Sensor on the day promised at check out.

This fit perfectly and works great. The local pool store wanted over $150 for this same product. Easy to install yourself.

My old temperature sensor read 172 degrees and when I hooked up the new sensor everything started working like it’s supposed to!!
