Call of Duty: Black Ops II Signature Series Guide

This is the SEVENTH BradyGames guide I've purchased. In my opinion, there is no finer game guide publisher out there. Not only do you get excellent graphics, the description of the levels, weapons, perks, equipment, and maps really help in decision-making about the game itself. I originally started purchasing these for just the level maps but discovered the information they contained on "hidden" items was invaluable, like the location of intel items, so that I could unlock achievements and truly complete the games. This particular guide, for Black Ops 2, was written by gamers who know the franchise and have a passion for it. This adds a certain flavor that wouldn't come from a technical writer. It also lends credibility to the stats provided - and there is a lot of technical information included for those of us who are multiplayer addicts and want to know how weapons and equipment will behave. Yes. this may be more data than the casual gamer wants, but for hardcore gamers, it is invaluable information in calculating classes and loadouts. For casual gamers, there are explanations of each level for the single-player campaign, complete with level maps. So if they are having difficult overcoming challenges, there is ample explanation to help them overcome and complete those challenges. It gives a good overview of zombies mode and multiplayer so they can decide if they want to venture into either experience. For hardcore gamers, like I said above, there is TONS of data to help them determine which weapons to use, what equipment would be best, and what perks to utilize. The authors, who are hardcore gamers, even provide descriptions of their favorite loadouts. The overviews of the multiplayer maps are valuable intel, too, for those looking for any/all advantage they can to win matches.

Super helpful guide, we got it to help us out with the map layouts, but then found so much extra stuff that it helps you with throughout the game! Tones of amazing graphics and helpful hints without ever giving anything away! It also gives you the breakdown of each of the weapons in the game. Very pleased with how fast this was shipped to us and in great shape as well!

I am not one to follow the guide the first time through a game, but I like to go back and find and do everything. Sometimes I will do this completely on my own and other times I just want to get it done. Call of Duty is one of the games that I just want to get it done. It's nice to have the tips for the main story and the multiplayer. Although I will say that the best way to improve and know what to use in multiplayer is to just play a lot and experiment with different combinations. Overall good guide though and I recommend picking it up.

This installment in the COD games is fun and has a lot of excitement to it. I didn't write a review of it until now because the game was great and I don't usually write a lot of game reviews, then came COD Ghosts...I'm back to playing COD II at least I feel like I got my monies worth out of this title.

Now that we are not receiving any manuals with the newer games, I have started purchasing these types of books. I like them because they give you any information that you need - and more. It is a mini encylcopedia. You can research any question that you have, and it is usually in the book. I am glad I started to purchase these types of books, and will continue even if manuals return.

I bought this guide in hopes of getting some sort of inside information in the dynamics of the multiplayer. I was a a little disappointed in the content. The online multiplayer is always changing, guns getting nerfed and new maps are released that this guide gets outdated really fast. The gun stats are no longer relevant and the maps are the original that came with the game. So bottom line, if you don't play online or have any map packs, this guide is for you. If you're like most people and play online and have the map packs you're better off getting your "insider tips" somewhere else.

Wow, full of interesting information. Has taught me a lot about the different fire rates and great spots in the multi-player maps and has helped me improve my skill in-game.

Gives guidance for missions and maps to help navigate those missions. I'm able to focus on the play better instead of being frustrated by wandering around as I tend to do.

This guide provides you with all the weapons, tools and tips on beating the game AND gives you each of the missions challenges. Beautiful pages and layout. Covers the single-player campaign, multiplayer and zombie modes. Must own if you are a CoD fan!!!

Brought this for my son and haven't seem him since (great). No seriously if your a fan of the Call Of Duty games then it's a must

This guide is good, it helps you find all the intel items, gives you multiplayer advice and tips on how to get more kills, helps you with the challenges and completing the game on veteran it has it all. If I have any criticisms I would say it has very little at all on the zombies game mode, some of the challenges in the book are misleading, one of the challenges in old wounds has the wrong screenshot on it so you get totally confused and go about the challenge completely the wrong way. It needed a bit more reviewing before being published. I have all the previous cod bradygames books and always use them for veteran campaign tips, intel locations and multiplayer and zombies tips as well as achievement unlocking. This one is a good guide and if I hadn't bought it yet and had just read this review I would still buy it, because they are great reference guides, if you are gaming and think "I wonder if I can do this.." I just pull my guide off the shelf and look it up. Would definitely recommend buying it, and for less than £10 you're getting a bargain.

I played this game waaaaaaay too much. Too addictive to be honest.
