Nicely made, square shaft, big screwdriver. However, I did tap the end with a hammer only once or twice, as I bought it for prying more than to use on screws(and there’s not a lot large slotted screws used anywhere these days). Tip and shaft are appropriately hardened, as I hadn’t bent or chipped them. Understand, the temp was about 40 degrees where I was using it, to pry, and the handle broke. And I was only applying about 20-30 lbs to it. As you can see, it has gotten a bit of use for a few months too. I’m going to blame myself for the failure, but expected a little more robust tool. This replaced a 25 yr old Stanley I lost, which was non-demo, with shaft only halfway up the handle, and used with a 4 lb sledge many times too! So I expected a little too much of this I guess. For twisting purposes, it would probably work well for years. Don’t use for other purposes, though!

Used for the first time today and broke by the afternoon - went to see if I could return and as of 1/31/2017 I was no longer able to return!

I was super happy with this tool until I put any leverage on it and the metal tang stapped right out of the handle, only goes about 1-1/2 into ths handle. Not made nearly as well as I thought it was.

Works as expected, but it is very long. I didn't need anything quite this huge, but it's good to have when you need it. I should have ordered a size smaller.

ordered several different sizes, all shafts mis-aligned with handles, useless, exchanged some but all new ones also arrived defective
