Sonic Tool Works Aquasonic Spa Body Cleansing System,

After six months of daily use it has failed. While initially waterproof, longer term it will allow water to seep inside corroding both batteries and electronics. Having spent many years in industry with sealing applications, I can see the manufacture's intent to make it waterproof. Both seal design and construction material will not allow it to remain waterproof...and my unit is now no longer functional.

Looked at several very expensive ones, after reading reviews I went with the Sonic Tool! Very happy with it! Love all the extra brushes.

UPDATE: I am still using this 18 months later. Have not yet needed to replace the batteries.Body brushing is a must for people who have autoimmune diseases, especially lupus, which has so many skin implications. Brushing, or using a soft brush for cleaning helps slough dead skin and stimulate blood flow to areas that might be affected by Raynaud's or other secondary syndromes. I also just plain feels great, AND it gets you clean.The Aquaponic is waterproof and battery operated and definitely invigorating. The highest setting is more vigorous than an Olay sonic brusher I own, which is, as of today, the second most powerful cleaning brush in my bathroom.Features:Waterproof and battery operated. Previous to trying the Sonic Tool Works Aquasonic Spa Body Cleansing System, I had previously used a more expensive device. I used it for a while, and ultimately considered it a waste of time. The Sonic Tool Works is effective and quite gentle. So far, this doesn't seem like another impulse buy item that will end up in the bottom of the cabinet and eventually find its way into the trash. There are four interchangeable brushes and it works smoothly with no problems. I've only had it for a couple of weeks, and so far I am really convinced this is well-made and will last. Surprise -- it does a great job of removing the makeup I thought was totally gone! The fact that the handle is nicely designed is a real improvement over my expensive Brand X cleanser. Happily, a sample was provided for review. Definitely recommended.

I had never used anything like this tool before... and I have to say, I'm a convert! I'm a guy, but hey we guys don't want calluses on our feet either, and we like our skin to look clean and bright. For the callus removal on my dinosaur feet, I took a shower to get them wet and soften the calluses, then applied some coconut oil and used the pumice stone attachment. WOW, what a difference. My feet remind me of how soft they were after I went to a foot spa in Hong Kong. Baby feet. Nice. Then I tried the small brush on my face with some mild liquid soap.... it felt great and my face looks good. I can't really tell what my pore condition is but I will keep using it... face looks "clearer" and more vibrant... good for blood circulation there and I imagine all sorts of follicles are getting cleaned and stimulated.I haven't used the makeup removal brush yet but who knows, a couple of tequilas and that could happen...Pro's:- batteries included- 4 different attachments, and replacements are sold on Amazon by same company so you don't have to replace entire unit- two speeds- nice ergonomic design.. easy to hold- I used in shower and it seems waterproof, no issuesCon's:- I really can't think of one... works great... usually I have at least one con!Hope this helps... happy exfoliating!
