I've been fighting with birds in my 2nd story air vent for a while now, and thankfully ran across this product. My vent is located about 8 feet above a set of stairs, so getting a ladder and such in place for a whole vent replacement was a bit dangerous and very difficult. This product just popped in quickly under the existing flaps while using one of those "gopher" extended reach devices. I heard the birds trying to get in for a couple of days afterward, but they soon went elsewhere and it's kept them out ever since. Great results from a very simple device. I don't know that I'd use this in a dryer vent where there would be a lot of lint buildup, but for my purpose on a simple air vent it works great.

The product is deceiving. It does not come with the louvers or bracket. It's just a screen designed to fit behind a pre-existing cover.Upon further inspection it does describe it but it is not obvious. Especially since the first picture is of a complete vent.
