Just what I needed to know to construct a dome home. No frills, just the info!! If you are interested in constructing a dome home, this book would be very useful. Author still recommends one have an professional review your plans, but if you didn't need or desire this, this book will still get you the info you need to do this yourself.

I have my A.S. degree in architectural design, designed houses for two decades, and have dreamed of building a dome house since I read Roger Dean's book when I was 13 (I'm now 39). However, this book was less than useless! The author gave no specifics about the engineering of a dome or the domes strength. He simply says to consult an engineer - that can be done without this book. I read this book cover to cover, hoping I would find one single useful tip - alas there was not one! A large part of the context was the author rambling on about why a dome house would be great - only his opinion, not a single fact. The author says he has built a dome, though, he doesn't show any pictures or proof. Not to mention, the authors inept how-to information suggest he has absolutely no construction experience. Case in point, the author insist that the dome is earthquake proof - maybe it is, maybe it isn't - the author gave no evidence either way but states due to all the metal reinforcement it must be. However, I remember a lecture I once sat in on about earthquakes and they said that metal reinforcement acts as a tuning fork to destroy concrete. My point is, this book is the reason no one takes self published books serious. The author doesn't know anything about the subject or about writing. Stay away from this book!

Nice book. It will give you an general idea on how to build a concrete Dome house.2 not so nice word on page no 5 and 6.exept for those word. A good book that , will introduce readers on the dome topic

FORGET ABOUT THIS ONE! This is a pathetic excuse for a How To book I have ever read. It gives absolutely no relevant information.Ramblings from a person who obviously has no experience building or writing.
