Best ever. Non GMO and organic. Just what I wanted!
This is just what I was looking for. I wanted an organic non gmo cornmeal. This is it. It is fine ground white cornmeal. I made cornbread and we ate every bite. It was tender and moist and no big pieces of hard corn in it. I just add baking soda and baking powder and salt, oil an egg and buttermilk. This stuff is the best ever. The tastes is so so delicious. I will never buy the junk in the grocery store again. It is pricey but I feel that the quality makes it well worth the price.

Soft fluffy and tasty is all you need to know
Hands down some of the best cornmeal i have ever used. I have never enjoyed the gritty part of cornmeal often resorting to soaking it in milk for 15 minutes before adding my other ingredients. Not only do I not have to with this but its fresher And better tasting than any store bought cornmeal I have purchased.

Good corn meal but not authentic stone ground
I ordered this cornmeal because it was described as stone ground. It was the most reasonably priced on Amazon but the quantity was much more than I needed. I will store it in my refrigerator so it won't spoil. I like that it came so quickly but was disappointed at how fine it was. I was expecting Stone ground coarse grains. This is too fine to be authentic stone ground. I have to keep it and will use it but my cornbread won't have that wonderful texture like the one we used to grind in our old mill.

Great product and a family owned!
Why did you pick this product vs others?: It's very hard to find white cornmeal. I saw this on Amazon and it's a family owned company. Makes great corn bread. Very happy with this product.

Good Brand
The coarseness of this corn meal was perfect for us. Great texture. We use it for corn bread and to coat fish to fry. It is very fresh and has a great taste. The size bag you get is large so that makes it a wonderful value for your money.

This Cornmeal Made Me the Queen of the Church Potluck and Bingo night!
Well butter my biscuit and call me impressed! I’ve been cooking since before color TV, and let me tell you, I know good cornmeal like I know which grandkids are faking being full to skip my green beans. This Homestead Gristmill yellow cornmeal? It’s the real deal. Stone ground, Non-GMO, chemical-free, and made in the good ol’ USA—just like me! I opened the bag and whew, I got hit with the scent of pure country goodness. It smelled like something my grandmother would’ve used. I’ve used this heavenly powder to make cornbread, arepas, tamale, empanadas and anything you can imagine its so good my husband proposed to me again after 50 years married. I made hushpuppies that silenced the entire bridge club. Even my cousin Maria who once claimed her grits was a southern national treasure material had the decency to fake a heart attack to avoid admitting I won. Ten pounds of this and I’m ready for the next family gathering, or at least a surprise visit from the grand kids with hollow legs and no manners. If you don’t buy this, I’ll assume you hate flavor, America, and happiness. God bless this cornmeal and whoever milled it. Probably a strong-armed man with suspenders and dreams. Now excuse me while I go make another batch of venezuelan cachapas for dinner!
