This was a gift for my wife who has used it for several winter afternoons. It’s easy to read and use if you are a beginner and don’t read music.

Easy to use, mostly american arrangements but good book.

This is a short book of Christmas songs in traditional treble clef with numbered notes under. The melodys are single notes (one finger) no chords. It does not have the kalimba bar tabs you get on you tube and in other kalimba songbook. The words to the songs are seperate at the back of the book. I sent it back. Anyone with the slightest musical aptitude could work out these melodys by ear. If you are after something with more notes try You tube April Yang videos, the kalimba I bought included a much better songbook anyway.

Can play songs on several instruments

I'm a big fan of all Thomas Balinger song books. I play several instruments and my library is stocked with any and all of Mr. Balinger's books for my instruments. This includes his books for Appalachian Mountain Dulcimer, ukulele, autoharp, tin whistle ... and now one for my brand new kalimba. As with his other books, this kalimba book provides an excellent introduction to the instrument and offers a lovely collection of a few Christmas songs. The print is clear and easy to read. I only have good things to say about it. As soon as my husband presented me with a new kalimba for Christmas, I quickly checked Amazon to see if Mr. Balinger published a book for it. So thrilled that he did! I purchased his book of 100 kalimba songs along with this book and I've been having a lot of fun learning to play my newest musical instrument.

I love the fact that there is music and words along with the numeric tine to play. Makes it so simple even a child can play. It also contains useful Kalimba care, tuning and other didactics. Good price too.

Davvero ben fatto! Prima di regalarlo l'ho sfogliato un po', all'interno c'è una prima parte di teoria molto chiara e semplice, per fare pratica con lo strumento e la partitura; una seconda parte dove ci sono spartiti numerati delle canzoni natalizie. Il libro è in inglese ma è facilmente comprensibile anche per chi non lo parla/capisce fluentemente.

C'est la première fois de ma vie que je reçois un livre qui sent la friture. Pour le reste il est en très bon état, il s'agit clairement d'un livre neuf, mais il sent l'huile de friture. Pourquoi? Mystère...Pour ce qui est du contenu je ne peux pas aller au delà de 1 étoiles.Point positif: la structure du livre est bien pensée:- la première partie présente l'instrument,- la seconde propose les différentes partitions,- la dernière nous donne quelques notions de solfège.Points négatifs: l'écriture est vraiment de mauvaise qualité. C'est une traduction automatique bâclée. Il y a également des oublis dans la présentation de l'instrument qui peuvent induire un débutant en erreur. De plus la notation figurant sous les partitions n'est pas juste.Je déconseille cet achat, je pense sincèrement que vous pouvez trouvez mieux.
