Marvin 18' Fiberglass Pole Pruner/Saw Package (PH-4) Fixed Head

This is a quality tool that will last a lifetime if taken care of. We picked it because the arborist that we hired to prune a few of our big trees used one and said it's the choice of professionals. I'm only giving it a 4 because it requires a bit of work to assemble, and I don't just mean screwing a few parts together. The cutting head and saw head both have to be mounted to a pole, and then 1/4" holes have to be drilled to fit a bolt. For $200 this seems like something that the manufacturer could have done - at least drilling the holes. Also, the rope is attached to the pole using a hog ring that has to be crimped with pliers. They could have included a braided loop at the end of the rope or something a little better for the money, but it will work and the rope can always be replaced. Overall I'm happy, but I'm not a fan of fiberglass dust.
