TODAY I MADE MY FIRST COMMUNION Hardcover – January 1, 2010

I bought this book to read to my First Communion Class.It is beautifully written. My class loved the book!My only complaint is that I also purchased another book by the same name & author with a different book cover & since the description was a little different, I thought they were different books.One book has a church on the cover & the second book has children in their communion outfits.Both books were the same. I wish they had made that clear in the discription! I decided since it was such a worth while book to keep one & donate the other to our CCD office.For that reason I gave the rating only 4 stars out of 5.

Bought this for my 8 year old niece who told me that this was her "Favorite Communion present ever!" She spent the time after her party filling it out and I know that she will look back at this in the future and really remember this special day. This is going to be my "go to" communion present for the future.

I thought this was a wonderful book. The illustrations were beautiful, and the story and explanations were detailed and very informative. I especially liked that it was a story book, and could be used as a keepsake, with space at the back for guests to share comments, and for personal information, and photos. Our First Communicant had fun filling in his specifics.

This is a lovely book to be given as a gift to someone who is making their first communion. It's an interesting way to inform children about what they will learn during their classes and about the ceremony itself. Very well written and informative. The book also includes keepsake pages the child can complete with memories, thoughts and pictures about their special day. A lovely and thoughtful gift.

I bought this book as a gift for my daughter's birthday so she would have it before she made her First Communion. We read one or two chapters a week as a review of her CCD program (to ensure we covered any gaps). She enjoyed the story and loved filling in the memory pages at the back of the book. What a wonderful Catholic resource! Highly recommended. Also consider getting the companion book Today I Made My First Reconciliation.

Great teaching guide

The story told is so creatively done that it's like remembering your own First Communion! I was happy to give this to my own grandson for his First Communion.

My Grandson loves to read and he told me he like this book, I am glad that I sent this book and was thankful to me for sending him this gift/

I am not Catholic, but wanted some idea about Catholic Communion. It is aimed at children, but if you are converting to or thinking of converting to Catholicism, this is a book of pure delight!

All of the prayers have not been updated to reflect the current revisions in the mass language. The pictures are not engaging to today's youth.The book was very damaged when I received it.
