Can NOT live without this stuff
This product is an absolute staple in my house. As a mom of 4 who cooks vegan from scratch, I use this stuff literally every day. I buy at least 2 cases a month of this wonderful, versatile food.Like many people, before going vegan I was skeptical that I could adjust to a life without dairy. My goodness, what a silly fear that has turned out to be! With this organic, shelf stable, silky smooth tofu, I can make all manner of creamy dairy substitutes, from sour cream to ranch dressing to cheese to ice cream. Yes, I know that all those tofu-based vegan ice cream recipes say to use the refrigerated, water-packed silken tofu, but after I had a couple packs of that expire in my fridge (I guess I didn't make enough ice cream that month) I just tried using this instead (from my unlimited supply in the pantry) and it came out fine. The beauty of tofu, for those who are unfamiliar with it, is it's near total lack of flavor. This is where you can work your magic. You can make it taste like anything you want. This particular product is not one I would choose for cooking in chunks or slices, as it would crumble, but it is the perfect tofu if you want to replicate the tiny soft pieces that come in the miso soup in a restaurant. If you want tofu slabs or stir fry chunks, go for extra-firm water-packed refrigerated tofu, pressed for best effect. This tofu is packed nearly water free and I can just open the package, dump it into the Blendtec without pressing or straining, and whip up any creamy thing I want. I used to mess around with strainers or "nut-milk bags" but I found this is unnecessary given the small amount of water in the box.One of the things I love the most about this tofu is it is ORGANIC, as much of the soy grown these days is GMO. I feel confident that I am feeding my kids the highest quality plant-based protein when I serve them this. Rest assured that tofu is a very healthy food, high in protein and without estrogenic effects (despite the misinformation campaign being waged by the dairy industry.) Feeding my family tofu based creamy treats keeps them safe from the high levels of REAL estrogen present in all dairy products, even organic ones - pregnant and lactating mammals have naturally high levels of estrogen, of course.Attached are photos of potato skins with sour cream, fruit and sweet cream (favorite breakfast for kids of all ages) and pasta salad with creamy dill dressing, made from this tofu.

Awesome tofu @ a great price!
My wife and I decided that we wanted to begin having miso soup for dinner on a more regular basis, so purchased this tofu as an essential ingredient for my miso soup recipe. I was totally impressed with the individual packaging of the tofu (and the fact that it doesn't need to be refrigerated), the taste and texture, and the overall product quality. Needless to say, I am reordering and will continue to do so. I want to say that my picky kids also love this tofu as well -- for kids that seem to only want mac & cheese, they are gorging themselves on (much healthier) miso soup now. This makes me happy. By the way, I also highly recommend the Roland White Miso Paste (incredible flavor and great quality) and the Ajinomoto Hon Dashi Soup Stock which I both purchased from Amazon. If interested, my Miso Soup recipe is as follows: 1 package of Morinu firm silken tofu (this stuff), 2 tsp Dashi soup stock, 3 TBS white miso paste, 4 cups of water and 2 chopped scallions -- we also reconstitute shitake mushrooms, add dried wakame seaweed (highly recommend either Eden or Emerald Cove from Amazon as well), add shaved daikon, etc. However, this recipe is awesome just as is... We live in Northern California with some of the best Japanese restaurants in the world, but this recipe blows away (or at least equals) what you can get from any restaurant. But I digress... I highly recommend this tofu!

Today I discover that the packages have a best if used by by date of June 15
My last order for silken tofu was June 7, 2016. Today I discover that the packages have a best if used by by date of June 15, 2016. The product still tastes fine; but I'm very disappointed to have been sent product with only a one week shelf life.

Wonderful, easy to cook with.
I am fairly new to tofu but have already gone through 3 cases of this lovely tofu since the beginning of the year. It's really great. Very mild flavour that is easily masked by what ever you cook it with.I make an awesome instant chocolate pudding with this stuff, a box of silken tofu, some dark cocoa powder, stevia and then a bit of milk to loosen it up. Whiz in a blender or food processor and it makes a super creamy, dreamy delight that I don't feel guilty about eating and leaves me more satisfied than your standard pudding. Chill it and it becomes a realllllllllllllly thick, luscious mousse. (making myself hungry)Anyhoo, I love that it's a shelf stable product that I can have on hand for impromptu meals.Sometimes I make burgers by mixing it with smoked paprika, garlic, onion, nutritional yeast, oatmeal, masa flour, bit of nice oil until a thick consistency and fry up and they're just fantastic.I think this is one of those foods that's so versatile and easy to play with and gives you a nice bit of protein to your diet.

THIS PRODUCT IS EXCELLENT, BUT IT'S COST HAS TRIPLED IN THE PAST 3 WEEKS.
This product is excellent, convenient, and has a long shelf-life, however it's cost tripled in the past 3 weeks; it's gone from $13/box of 12, to $42 for a box of 12. UNLESS PRICES COME DOWN DRAMATICALLY IN THE NEAR FUTURE, I WILL START MAKING MY OWN FRESH TOFU; I can't afford to pay this every month.

Good product, but by the case, date's a little old ...
Recently purchased a case of Mori-Nu from Amazon ... I'd had this tofu before and the product I got from Amazon is fine. Though, a word of caution - my case only has about 4 1/2 months to go on its "best by" date. The date on the box represents one year from manufacture, so this product had been sitting around a while. Not a huge problem but I'll be looking for silken-tofu recipes now (vegan ice cream!), to use this up, rather than just having silken tofu on hand for a while, as I'd hoped.
