Breyer Traditional Series Secretariat Horse with Base | Model Horse Toy | 13.5" x 9.5" | 1:9 Scale | Model #1345

This is one of the most beautiful Breyer horses I have seen. It would be nice if Secretariat had his own mold. He was such a special horse. But his mold does suit him very well. He is a little darker and redder than shown in the picture with UNBELIEVEABLE shading and AMAZINGLY realistic eyes. It is hard to find a Breyer horse as well done as he is. He is a traditional size and a very accurate one as well, sort of large for a traditional, especially for one in a gallop, but not as big as Zenyatta, who is also very much to scale. It is really nice how Breyer makes models so much to scale. Secretariat was considered pretty large for a racehorse and Zenyatta is considered HUGE. he looks very large next to my classics. The "racetrack" he is on really looks real. It actually looks slightly wet and like he is actually racing on it, not just standing on it. The stand is permanently attached, but he needs it to stand, plus it makes the whole model look a little more realistic, however not the best choice for playing with. Unfortunately he is very easily scratched and I was really sad when he got a scratch, because he is so AMAZINGLY shaded he would make a fantastic show model. You have to be very gentle (no action figures on Secretariat little brothers). He is also a very good price. Overall he is a BEAUTIFUL horse and I highly recomend him.

Breyer makes beautiful horse so life like an they really did well with is secretariats model first class for big red I have an older model but I like this one some much more

I have been a model horse collector for years I have a herd of 35 models now. I love secratait,so when I got him I was very happy, he has wonderful detail for a regular run. He was a great gift and I would recommend,I really love the smarty jones mold. On Breyer's website he is a little bit over 50,so the price is great. Even though he stands on one leg [which is on a stand] he doesn't tip over and knock over the ponies next to him and cause a pony avalanche at all,which is very nice because pony avalanches are not fun. DISCLAIMER Models have the potential to break and scratch,they aren't perfect toy,but they can be,but keep that in mind that if they are played with too hard,they can break and scratch,I personally reccomend breyers collectA's and classic series for play,but you can play with traditionals but they are more fragile. Overall this is a great model and one of my favorites 10/10

Faithful replica of Secretariat. The galloping pose is appropriate for Big Red.

Enjoy the model very much. The package for the model was slightly damaged, not enough buffering in the shipping box for the VERY fragile Breyer box inside. The model was not damaged.

My original Secretariat was lost in a move. This replacement was a good price with very fast shipping. You can’t go wrong with Breyer products

Das Pferd ist von der Farbe und Proportionen her mega gut gelungen! So schön anzusehen, keine Macken oder Fehler, super verarbeitet. Stimmt auch mit dem leider nicht mehr lebenden Original überein. Versand war schneller als angesagt. Alles top.
