Adhesive failure in 2 days. First issue in over a decade with Egrip
Update: one of the larger strips has come loose so many times I'm not sure rinsing it will recover the adhesive. I'm still a backer of the product but this one seems a dud. Whether because a bad batch of adhesive backing or perhaps it's the heavy duty silicone on this variety which has deeper ribs to grip, I don't know. Regardless it's an expensive product considering what it is and does IF it doesn't stick as it's supposed to.Five star review should egrips step up and replace them. It's not a threat or a bribe. I've just been that pleased in the past that if they stick properly I'd be completely happy.I've used egrips on a little bit of everything, dating back to my Palm Treo. Yes, boys and girls, that was almost 15 years ago. I've really been happy with having this film on all my phones over the years as it is extremely effective at giving my bear paws something to grab onto. I added it to my laptop to give grip when carrying it around. a few strips on my desk to prop my phone in place. A few dots under my trackball. My wife added some underneath her keyboard so it wouldn't slide around anymore. So, you see, I was excited to get a new sheet of this to put on my newly purchased laptop. When this product arrived, i was impressed. As it mentioned in the description, it is heavy duty. the ribs are deeper and the silicone is thicker.the unfortunate downfall is that the adhesive isn't up to the job. When I was applying the strips, i cleaned my hands with soap and water, then hand sanitizer. I applied a bit more of sanitizer to the laptop lid and bottom and rubbed it around until it evaporated. Then i stuck the strips on top and bottom edges of the top and bottom of the laptop case. Two days later, they're flopping around. I've never ever had egrip do that and it's disappointing. I'm hoping the manufacturer sees my review and rectifies the issue, perhaps with a replacement sheet of strips. I've spend hundreds on this stuff over the years and recommended to dozens of people. I keep a few of the misc. size sheets in my office file cabinet in case i have a need.I can't recommend these HD strips, based on my experience.

The grips look good and provide me security.
I have installed the egrips on my iPad, I like the way it works. When I pick up my iPad I never fear dropping it now and when I put down my iPad it always lands safely on my table or my desk. An iPad is a portable device which means it will be moved around and bumped around and pushed around a lot and while I have my iPad in a competent case it’s still seemed to fall on my table too hard as I placed it down on any hard surface. When I added the grips I noticed it always sets down softly. Before when I picked it up, I always noticed the slippery case. It was in always a concern to me that it was hitting the table too hard. That meant I would be Constantly dropping the IPad just a little bit and as you know with technology, drops are not good in fact the drops are perhaps the eternal enemy of the iPad, Now it drops that little distance softly and I don’t have to worry about my iPad anymore. When I pick it up I am assured I will not drop it because of the egrips. As you know a drop of a short distance on an iPad could easily compromise the screen. The grips look good and assure me security. Not a bad deal for a little price. Egrips seem to provide just the right level of softness and grip to keep my iPad reasonably secure.

Cheapest insurance policy you will buy.
Only after buying a Dell Inspiron 15z laptop off the internet without actually seeing one firsthand did I discover that the substantial metal construction meant excess weight. Within a few months I had dropped it on a concrete driveway lifting it out of my backpack. The combination of heavy weight, slick metallic laptop surfaces and a dry hand pretty much guaranteed it. This damaged the screen such that if I wamted to see/view it, I folded up a business card, crammed it in the crack between rhe keyboard section and the screen, and adjusted the angle of the screen just right. Then the screen would appear ok. Otherwise it would go blank like the laptop was off. The laptop itself was continuously on. However the screen would eventually start flickering and then go off until I could once again find the exact position/angle to reset it at. Eventually paid somewhere between. $300 - $400 to have Dell service repair it. Since applying and using egrips there has been no problems holding the laptop securely.Buy the egrips.

I got this some time ago for my company laptop ...
I got this some time ago for my company laptop. Part of the job is driving around and recording data, so the laptop would slide if breaking/turning too quick. These held up to plenty of abuse, but eventually the corners started to peel. 2 months after that half a pad was peeling, so I replaced it. I only used 3 thin strips for a 17inch notebook and never had it slide (on a hard surface) unintentionally.

Awesomeness
If you like to carry your phone bareback this is a must-have it will stick to the back of your phone and give you some grip are use a thin case and stuck it on the back Ever drive down the road and stick your phone on your thigh this will give you enough grip that your phone won't just slip off your thigh Since I heard about it from Allison Sheridan and her podcasts I went and bought it. I have since bought several and giving them as gifts and everybody loves it I think you will te I have since bought several and giving them as gifts and everybody loves it I think you will to

I'm in Love!!!
I just got these, and I love them! I bought these because I was taking my laptop out of my backpack with my gloves on on a cold day a couple of weeks ago, and my laptop almost slipped out of my hand! Now with these grips, there's absolutely no way that's going to happen. I put these along the long edges of my laptop and now I'm ordering another set to put on the short edges. This is just what I was looking for, thank you so much!

Really awesome
Laptop cases are thin and slick. Hard to grip. These work so well. Easy to use and keeps laptop from slipping out of my hand when I put it down. Tend to keep laptop by couch and have put them down to hard a couple of times and had one screen that broke inside. Had to replace laptop. These are so inexpensive and couldn’t be more pleased.

Doesn’t last
Good grip. This was applied to a 13” Macbook Pro, 3 1/2 lbs. After 6 months the grip started peeling. After A year the backing started rolling up from the bottom. This might last longer if the wavy lines were affixed in the direction of pull. I would recommend the squarish pad with the lines running in the direction of pull for better satisfaction.
