Dear AquaBeaconI: I literally just opened this out of the package and took this picture. The lip and groove of this needs to be beefier. It's kind of ridiculous how the locking system of the cover is. It just donned on me that I guess that's how you keep selling them. 🤔 Make them flimsy enough to work but eventually fail...and get them to buy one again. And there you have it.😒😒😒 This will be my last though.

I have a salt-water pool, but in winter when temps drop below 40 deg F the chlorine-generating electrolysis cell stops working. I bought the Aquabeacon a couple months before I needed it because we had a warm fall. It has been in the pool for about a month now. It holds at least three large chlorine tablets. As the tablets dissolve, the Aquabeacon rises in the water, and it is obvious that it needs to be serviced. Just lift it out of the pool, park it on the coping, twist the cover CCW and remove to expose the basket. Add tablets to fill it up, replace the cover, and put Aqubeacon back into the pool. It's almost as easy as having someone else do it for you!!

I like that the tabs fit well in the dispenser. Some dispensers are narrow and if the tab does not fall into the container perfectly straight, there isn't room for additional tabs. There is plenty of room in this dispenser and it is easy to put the tabs in. Floats well, dispenses well, looks nice. The only negative I have is that the lid is a little tricky for me to remove - but that might just be me! I would buy again and recommend.

The chlorine floater appears to be of heavier thickness plastic of good quality. It should last multiple seasons, at least I hope it will last as long as the previous unit I had for 4 years. It holds 5 3" chlorine tablets and remains floating with top of unit above water. The lid opens and closes easily. Happy with the purchase.

Its actually pretty great. Ive put two 3" tablets of chlorine in it and it floated just fine. I could have put more but two was fine for my size pool. If only my kids would leave it alone is the next hurdle!! Great product for the least amount of money.

I have several from various brands that I use in my pool and spa. Going on 5+ years for all of them. Not sure what the issues folks are having - the mechanism is pretty simple and you need to recognize they are not bulletproof for the price. Go easy with them and they will last. All in all a good floatie for the money.

This chlorine floater is AWESOME! I use the Leslies pool chlorine 3” tabs as they have the most chlorine. With this chlorine filter, I can fit 4 (3”) tablets. I’d definitely recommend this floater to anyone looking for one. It’s sturdy and great quality. 👍🏼

Ordered this to replace one I've used for 5 years. This one has the lid that rotates to close, but it doesn't "click" to a locked position like my older one. The lid does not seem very secure when closed and can be easily opened by a child. I will use this for as long as I can, but I likely won't buy again.
