It can travel up to 15-22 miles with normal pedaling or about 10-15 miles with no pedaling at all at speeds of 15+ mph. You can easily double that range by adding an optional second battery pack. The eZip Trailz Commuter is equipped with an EV rated SLA type, rear rack mounted, 24V/10Ah rechargeable battery that can easily be removed for charging or swapping.

Amazon never failed me yet
So I got this bike, got it assembled and gave it a test ride....it wouldn't change through most of the gears. The derailleur hanger was bent, I assume it happened in shipping. Rather than go through the tremendous pain of taking the bike apart and repackaging it for return, Amazon gave me a 20% rebate, which easily covered the cost of repairs. Best customer service ever.

Do Not Order This Bike!!! Inaccurate Listing
Warning: This bike is not an originally packaged set by Currie! You will "lose out" on about $500 worth of battery power if you purchase this particular item! Don't do it! Get the newest upgraded version somewhere else for the the same price. You lose hundreds of dollars in value by ordering this bike. Go to the W place!!!First of all, Amazon CS has very kindly and efficiently handled this situation for me. This bike was scheduled to arrive at my house tomorrow but after re-reading the description, I realized that I didn't know which bike I had actually ordered. The bike listed is the Trailz Commuter but in the photo, you will see that they have installed the OLD MODEL LEAD BATTERY. Not only will you be disappointed with the performance, you will also realize that $699 on Prime is actually not a good deal. The stock eZip Trailz Commuter comes with the new lithium battery - lighter and more powerful. Unfortunately, they have their information confused in the description and I made the mistake of buying it. Amazon has contacted UPS for me and put the shipment on hold. It will be sent back in five day and Amazon will refund my money. If for whatever reason, Amazon can contact me and tell me that they have the wrong photo and wrong description and in fact, this is the EZ-TRZCOM-BK as sold by Currie Technologies with fenders, chainguard, AND lithium battery, I would be happy to go to UPS to pick this bike up and start riding it. Otherwise, I am afraid that this is practically a scam. You can't label a pricey product like this with the original companies name and mix and match the parts. This is unethical and will only cause problems for Amazon and whoever orders this and opens the box. By the way... once you open the box, it is not returnable because the batteries are considered "hazardous." Amazon CS - You guys are always awesome. Please contact me ASAP if there are any changes. Also, please look at the photo of the Trailz Commuter at the Currie website. You will see that the lithium battery looks different.
