Really awesome hearing protection
Tried these out for the first time on a tour in January. They held up great and absolutely did their job!If you take your time and follow the instructions on the video with the molding process everything will be just fine. Don’t settle for the first mold/seal. My left ear molded beautiful but had to remold my right ear. But just put it right back in the hot water and it molded beautifully the second time.*The key is to take your time*I can’t stress that enough. As for comfort they are okay. They fit way back in your ear canal and the rubber seems to be a little dry. They do take some getting used to put it’s not a deal breaker. The big thing for me is that they stay in the entire show and don’t break their seal or come out. I’m part of a very high energy show with lots of movement, jumping and singing and they stay in the entire time and don’t lose their seal like all other plugs I’ve tried of this type. They also do a great job of noise reduction with no ringing in my ears after a performance.Definitely a great buy and would purchase again.

Lowers the decibel level and still lets you hear the music
I play saxophone (front row seat) in a 17 piece jazz band (trumpets and trombones right behind me). One venue in which we play is a long, narrow room with low ceiling and glass wall behind the band. Acoustically awful. The other ear protectors I had were nearly useless for cutting the volume. I bought these with the instruction they could be molded to the ear and really seal out sound, so the only sound coming through would be titrated through the filter in the middle of the protector.I was skeptical, but should not have been. Once I followed the instructions and fitted them to my earlobe/canal, they were comfortable and really did the job of noise reduction. I came home from my first gig with them and didn’t have ringing in my ears like I had with the other plugs. They are excellent and I would definitely recommend them to other musicians.

Waste of money
I’m professional wedding photographer. I’m always near loud speakers. Therefore, I’m always searching for a new and better noise canceling ear plugs. When I first laid my eyes on dB ear plugs, they looked promising and I thought they’d be great. However, when I got them, I followed all the instructions on how to mold them to your own ear. First of all, it doesn’t work. The plastic is way too thick to heat it up in a hot water. Plus, for the ear plugs to properly mold to your ear the plastic has to be hot enough. If it’s hot you can burn your ear and it hurts a when you let it cool off a little and then mold. It also starts hurting after about 15-20 mins. In my opinion, a rubber or sponge like rubber I would be best for the ear plugs to properly mold and it would not hurt the ear. Very disappointed. Would not recommend at all.

Great sensory ear plugs!
We love the Decibullz! My son who is autistic and has auditory sensory issues has finally been able to replace his big bulky shooting range headphones. He was skeptical at first, but he feels they provide as much protection as the big over the ear ones. However, I do have to say that the sensory “disabled” is a terrible term not to mention the incorrect terms for the target demographic for this product. Both my son and I were pretty taken back by the label on the box. Those with sensory processing issues are not disabled. They are either hypo (avoid) or hyper (trying to get more) sensory seeking. He doesn't normally care about stuff like that but the suggestion that someone who gets his issues with sound well enough to make the earphones should know that he is not disabled. I know it seems like a small thing but labels have meaning, and this one hurts. I seriously suggest that the sellar take a good look at this issue.BTW: I contacted Decibullz first about this and they were great helping me figure out where the hurtful term came from.

Boris Certified
The media could not be loaded. Used these at few concerts. Protection is good, sound fidelity is good, they stay in much better then the simple silicone earplugs. Was easy enough to mold and remold, just follow the tutorial. Secure through headbanging and jostling at the edge of the moshpit. But now I've really put them to test, what I really bought them for. Boris' Amplifier Worship Service, standing in front of Wata. I got vibrated. Ears were fine afterward. I could have totally normal conversations, no noticeable deafening.

Not likely to stay put if you move your jaw while wearing
Love the custom fit,not thrilled that they tend to wiggle loose while I play the bagpipe

Solid concept, poor execution and value
The idea of a custom molded ear plug was very light intriguing to me so I thought despite the $40 price tag it was worth a shot. Directions were easy enough to follow although it took a couple rounds of heating them to get them just right. The plug that entered the ear canal was small and slightly uncomfortable. When testing them with loud live music they did not cut enough of the sound to protect my ears. There was a almost unrecognizable difference between with and without them. My ears hurt after only a few mins of wearing them from sound exposure. These were supposed to be the high fidelity plugs for this purpose. Luckily Amazon allowed the return and I was able to buy two pairs of etymotics for the same price, which work wonderfully. Would not recommend this product, all hype and does not deliver

Comfy, functional, kept me ears safe
This was my first time trying molded earplugs. They were easy to mold and I took a couple tries to get the fit I wanted. They turned the volume down nicely and fit great. I could still hear lyrics and instruments at my concert, it didn't feel warped or distorted.
