Couldn't lift without them!
I bought these hooks because I am missing 4 digits on my left hand. I recently got back in the gym and these hooks have been a tremendous success. Even using them like this, without support of the fingers, they work quite well. I am able to do so many more exercises without having to substitute workouts. I've used them for deadlifts, shrugs, rows, pull ups, and many other workouts that would have been impossible without them. Amazing product that gave me amazing results!

CHEAP PRODUCT THAT WILL CAUSE INJURIES
I had this product for just a month, using it maybe 5 or 6 times. This product is built terribly and is a huge safety risk, be careful before you buy this product. There is a metal ring that is used to pull the wrist strap in place, this metal ring has a gap in for assembly, while using this the fabric got caught in this metal ring and ripped apart the fabric that was holding the ring, causing the metal ring to fall out, I just happened to be doing farmer walks, and all of a sudden the hook for my left and just fell off, which caught me off balance while doing farmers walk and caused me to injure my shoulder. I never leave reviews, but the last thing you want while lifting weights is to get hurt by poor equipment, so I felt obligated to say something.

Not that impressed.
I’m not going to comment on the value of using some kind of grip device because if you’re reading reviews, you already realize there’s benefit in assisting your grip strength so you can better strengthen your back muscles.I’ve got thicker men’s wrists and the Velcro on these hooks just barely has enough contact to secure them to my wrists. The manufacturer needs to make the neoprene portion longer too because there’s about a 1” gap instead of a closed circle. Hopefully the Velcro won’t dig in too much when i put them to use. By the way, I say “neoprene” but it’s more like a cheap foam board they’ve cut this from.I was worried about the lack of adjustment to the distance the hooks are from the wrist but it appears that length will be perfect for me (just a little shorter than the natural curl of my fingers so this device takes the load and not my hands). However, the braided nylon could be a lot thicker for more durability. For an idea of how thick, it’s about the thickness of what would typically be used for a pickup truck ratchet strap. Fairly thin. There is no way the hooks are solid steel unless it is an extremely brittle steel because they weigh almost nothing. I’m a little worried they’ll eventually snap.Stitching isn’t very heavily reinforced, looks to be only single stitch.Overall I think these will work for a little while but I’m not expecting them to last very long.

Pursposeful design!
Work very well to extend your sets beyond your grip strength...allows for a few extra reps especially for pull ups, pull downs, rows, deadlifts, etc. Not really for powerlifters who need crazy grip strength to compete. This is for more fitness and physique training to rep out. Great for women, too, since the can save their hands a bit from callouses, and to lift more weight without grip failing too early. I am a former power lifter competitor, but have a bit of nerve damage in my fingers and elbows. With these, I can still lift as heavy as I am capable of. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

These work great!
These work great, my hands are small and I always had trouble holding on to the lat pull down or pulley because these are made for men plus my hands get sweaty. Often I knew I could do the weight but got frustrated because the bar slips, same for Deadlifting. I tried them today on lat pull down and pulley work and loved them. It took the focus off my hands and I could concentrate on correct form and movement instead of my grip. The hooks were not too large for me and you still use your hands. They look like wrist straps, which is nice. I only had some trouble when I made notes about my workout but if you fold the hooks down that works too. I am very happy with these!

More Pullups!
Normally you see people use this for deadlift assistance.I've been doing pullups for the last month. Ive taken a fascination with getting better at them. I noticed that I still had a little left in the gas tank but my hands were fatigued. In came these puppies. Using these to relieve the work on my hands in the later end of the workout and isolate my back, allowed me to push to get more reps in. That's where progression lies.Buy these! Built strong, Will last long, and help you increase you pullup max.

Maybe ok fo lighter lifters
I picked up a pair of these for a client with a bit of nerve damage. They ca lift decent heavy bu their grip doesn't match. Turns out they dd not work well, they would rotate too far and slip off. I gave them to an older female client who has used them happily. So limited in weight use sure.Buy again, no. I'll stay with suggesting straps

I don't use them all the time but for shrugs and pull-downs or last sets of pull-ups these can be a great addition to your gym gear
These take some getting used to but have enabled some lifts that I wasn't able to perform without them. I can get up to 4 - 45# plates on each side for shrugs with these. Before these my hands failed way before my traps. I wish these came in women's sizes though as finding a way to get your hands on the bar between and around these hooks can be challenging. I don't use them all the time but for shrugs and pull-downs or last sets of pull-ups these can be a great addition to your gym gear. No compensation whatsoever for this review.
