Light comfortable windproof!
Wanted something that was light allowed movement of the legs especially at the knees. Added feature that was a pleasant surprise was hiking some dirt trails at local park it blocked the winds. Winds in areas of high dirt are to say the least dirty. When I got home found my legs weren't coated in light dusting of the fine sand from the trail. Outside had a layer of dust which shook off easily before I left the park. Haven't tried them in the rain yet and yes I know they aren't water proof but wanted to try some waterproofing spray on them just to see? Won't know if you don't try.
