Please read my review... it will help you decide.First things first KIDS ARE MESSY! LolBut no really they are, and this splat mat is a lifesaver. And not just for messes, many other things. You might think to yourself that you could just use a towel or tarp. I’ve tried and they don’t work like this works, and for many reasons.I have 3 kids all under the age of 4 and I am a super clean freak. Literally cleaning OCD like crazy. My family thinks I’m crazy. With that said I like trying things to make my motherhood job easier and also my life of cleaning faster and less stressful. As it states it’s not just a splat mat, and that’s very true. You can see from my pictures that my uses are for a toy mat, park/picnic mat and play mat. And what makes it so much easier is it’s large to play on but doesn’t not take up any room in the washer or bag , it drys faster than a towel and folds up small but best of all it GRIPS! The grippy back is great, your kids won’t slip on the floor and neither will the chair or toys or whatnot that sits on top. I took it recently to the water park and it was hot out, my kids could sit on it without it retaining to much heat and it wicked away the water super fast. By the time we left it was dry. Unlike towels or blankets you can just shake off the dirt and wipe the messes gone. I use it inside and outside, ALOT.... so if I were you buy two. One can stay in your car for outings without taking up to much room in your car or trunk.

This is good product where you feel no stress when kid throwing the food around. It can mostly cover all the food thrown out. One thing i don’t like is the mat doesn’t stick on the floor and could not even lay flat makes me annoying. Although it has the non stick padding backside, not useful at all. With this price I don’t recommend it. Other product has slightly higher price and I believe it would be better than this one. I’m thinking to sew the mat in order to make it sturdy and lay on floor flat.

We use this on the floor when our kids eat picnic-style on the living room floor (which is often)! it is totally waterproof- full glasses of spilled milk don't soak into the carpet below. I also like that it feels soft, not at all rubbery. We have put it in our washing machine a few times, and it has held up really well. I'm going to buy a second one just to have one accessible in other areas of the house.

Just wish it was 100% waterproof. Still let’s water through into our hardwood floors and we have to make sure it doesn’t get left too long or it will leave water stains.

Love this mat! Our daughter is at that stage where she's throwing food so we love having this mat down. It's easy to clean, the size is perfect, and it can be used anywhere!

In one of the room in my house I have wooden floor. Put this down on the wooden floor and put their dry food and water on the mat. Plus the extra area they like to lay down on. Its light and easy to wash in machine or hard wash in bathtub. Its a big help in saving the floor. The cats love it, and that makes me happy.

Seems to be good quality, made of two sheets sewn together on the edges, one has a non slip side the other is the waterproof side. I only wish they were sewn together in the middle as well as the mat doesn't stay down smooth all the time, maybe that makes it more waterproof as 2 separate layers.Perfect size for under the high chair for our. 9mo son.Edit: after using it for a while it is a pain to keep it straight, the 2 ply method keeps bunching up and is a hassle. I would not recommend it at all.

This is pretty neat. I got it for our kitchen table while we craft. The only thing, if you don’t lay down a mat while you play with clay or play-doh directly on the cloth, you’ll get little bumpy imprints. The bumps are from the non-skid rubber on the underside. Easy to fix that though. Will be good to bring to the park and such too!
