Do not believe the poor reviews
Works exactly as DESCRIBED IN THE INSTRUCTIONS. It’s clear the poor reviews come from those who failed to read the simple instructions for use. Optics are crystal clear and laser is accurate.

Great range finder
My 2nd one. Ordered one for myself for golf and shooting yardage. Second one was for my dad as a Christmas gift. Works great on golf courses in South Carolina!

Save your money
It takes several attempts to get an accurate reading to the flag. Don't waste your money.

NO Battery - but good for every day golfer.
Mine came without a battery. I checked the product description and no where does it say I need to buy the battery.Update: Ordered batteries from Amazon. (Dec 22 - Arr Dec 23, That's what I call service!) This item sells with a spare battery model - don't waste your money. Buy this model and get 4 Amazon batt for less money.Used this 3x on golf course. A bit tricky to use but according to the course markers appears to be fairly accurate. This basic device is probably good for beginner/intermediate golfers who just want to know how far they are from the pin. I also used it to measure my drives. Boy was I disappointed!

You can get by……
Once it get the “big” target, yeah it works. But the most of flags at the course, may not working. From then, you are measuring other objects and do the calculations in your head. It’s cheap, so you can get by… that’s all

Had owned a different gen previously...this gen 2 not worth it
This generation of the one shot is not worth it. Even at the low price point, it is ridiculously hard to lock in on a target, and often reads trees, structures, bushes. Etc far beyond the flags. I gave up trying to use it, as it wildly missed more than half of the attempted yardage readings over the 2+ months I owned it.
