I searched for a smiling bear to give with the book "Hush Little Polar Bear." I compared bears in stores and online with the bear in the book, hoping to find a look-alike. None were quite right, until I found this little guy. Since he's a hand puppet, the mouth is open, just as if he's smiling. He's nicely stuffed for cuddling in bed, just like the bear in the book. And he's the right size to give as a companion gift with a book. As reviewers noted, the opening for the mouth is for a child's small hand. That's fine with me. It is, after all, a child's puppet. This is the cutest stuffed bear. I think I'll buy a couple more to keep for future gifts.

I have a tradition of giving a puppet to new babies and as they age, they fall in love. The puppets are well made and adorable.
