Knight Models HPMAG05 Harry Potter Miniatures Adventure Game: Bellatrix and Wormtail Expansion Pack, Mixed Colours

I was a little worried with some of the reviews stating this was of questionable quality. I can confirm right now that this a top quality item, The card pieces are of a comparative thickness to other card stock games and the miniatures are superbly detailed. The play boards are matt finish and have a lovely feel to them, I have gone on to buy some other miniatures from Knight Models (weasley twins - Fabulous) and about to order some more, while the price is so good. Keep it up Knight Models....Brilliant work!

Great looking figure for a present.

I haven't played the game yet, so can't comment on that, apart from the fact the boards themselves are made of very high quality material and the overall set comes across as high quality and professional. The miniatures themselves are very detailed (the Hermione one in particular is very well designed and somehow manages to keep balanced. Saying that, they were pretty fiddly to construct for someone of limited modelling experience (the last time I did this sort of thing was about 30 years ago). Hermione's model has a body, a leg, two arms and a head to put together, for example. Some of the miniatures look as though they will be flimsy if not treated with kid gloves (especially the wands). Some required filing/sanding at the feet in order to fit the stands well - this is explained in the guide.Overall, the models and board are high quality. Not sure about value for money, I think most miniatures go for at least £5, so if you take this into consideration, this is definitely good value.

Bought this as my misses fancied getting into the board game/miniatures painting hobby as it's already one of my hobbies. I have to say I didn't expect a super high quality model, but wow, these are poor. Lots of clean up work needed. Fiddly assembly, especially with Hermione's left leg. If you MUST own this game, you NEED a small file and some model clippers at a minimum. Cut slowly and carefully, if your box is anything like mine even the ball joints for the head and arms are going to get a lot of extra plastic coming with them off the sprue. We're not just talking little sprue left overs, Harry's cape had a huge chunk of left over resin dangling from his cape and one of the Death Eaters had a chunk of resin the same size as the head it was attached to on it.I can't tell who this game is really aimed it. Knights Model clearly intended to create a hobbyist model, they require assembly and painting, but the quality of the models just isn't there, so that's a miss for the hobbyists. Then the rules aren't the easiest to learn or teach, and it's a points based picking system, so its not for just a casual Harry Potter fan, this plays almost like a wargame. So it's a miss for the casual HP fans too.Really disappointing.

Excellent 4 day turn around from order to delivery, 2nd edition, all wands complete no damage to the tin or miniatutes, quality card stock for the tokens and board sections this time even the rule book is of better quality all for an amazing price well done knight models a definite recomend

I'm so glad I ordered this and what I received was the 2nd edition. You don't get the custom dice like you did in the 1st ed box but in the 2nd ed box the castings are made from a stronger resin. The 1st edition miniatures were so brittle that they were horrible to work with. So I would recommend this to any self respecting Harry Potter fan or fan of painting miniatures

Absolutely tiny

These do require assembly, but that is normal in wargaming. Detail is perfect and the discounted price from MSRP was great. Definitely will buy more models from this line.

Vino dañado y al día siguiente me mandaron uno nuevo. Los detalles del producto son espectaculares. Necesita, eso sí, como todas las minis, un poco de retoque por la resina... pero un producto 100% recomendable y el precio espectacular para lo que suelen ser estas minis...

It is a good game for fans of harry potter with simple enough rules i could teach my non warhaming sister to play in a single afternoon, the overall quality is good, although some things like the punch out tokens could be better

Qualitativ minderwertige Miniaturen - ich hatte bei dem Preis keine WizKids Qualität erwartet, aber so schlechte Figuren hatte ich noch nie. Bei dreien war der Zauberstab bereits abgebrochen (oder gar nicht erst gegossen worden).Die Arme und Hände benötigten Nacharbeiten mit dem Messer und einen Arm habe ich auch nach viel Nacharbeit nicht ankleben. Der Schlitz in den Baseplates ist für alle Figuren viel zu groß, so dass man Modellierknete benötigt damit die Figuren halbwegs halten. Zum Primen und Anmalen hat mir dann nach der Aufbauaktion die Lust gefehlt.Dieses Set hat als Zielgruppe eher jüngere Harry Potter Fans - hier darf man nicht erwarten, das man sich mit Miniaturenaufbau auskennt und hätte besser ein Stecksystem für die Figuren nutzen sollen. Wir haben zum Spielen schlussendlich die Miniaturen durch ihr Lego Äquivalent ersetzt.
