Great for my roses and crepe myrtles
I've used this for the past two summers on my rose bush. My rose bush has a ton of foliage and lots of flowers it has at least doubled in size in the past year using this fertilizer. Comparing to similar rose bushes in my neighborhood, it has done really well with this. It's currently 99 with a much higher index in Oklahoma and we're watering every other day and still have gorgeous roses. As for my crepe myrtle. I used a different fertilizer last year. At the end of the year, it was infested with some type of mite (spider mites likely). It, in turn, had sooty mold and other nasty issues. A lot of the plant died back from the damage. I have used a few other products to combat the problems this year that have organically gotten rid of the pests. I started using this fertilizer this spring though after breaking/pruning back just to the dead parts. Our neighborhood has three crepe myrtles that a company cares for in our HOA. Last summer the flowers were the same deep pink as our crepe myrtle. Since beginning using this fertilizer, the foilage has increased tremendously with new stem growth. It just started flowering today. The others (taken care of by the company hired by the HOA) now have deep red flowers, half the foilage as the one we've treated with this fertilizer, and very little new growth. I'm very pleased with the color of our blossoms, and all the growth. I will certainly keep using this fertilizer on my flowering plants! As a note, it does stink as other reviewers have mentioned. I would suggest using a mask because there was a bit of a dust cloud when I poured it into a container to shake. We watered in well with sprinklers or a hose sprinkler after application.

Amazing stuff for roses
A local landscaper has a weekly column in our cities newspaper. One column was all about roses. Unlike some landscapers, this fella has his own extensive rose garden. He recommends we use Epsoma Rose-tone.My roses are healthier. Amazon has better prices than our local nursery for Epsoma. Local nursery charges $7.99 for 4 lb, Amazon, as of 10 days ago, an 8 lb bag was $11.99

Old reliable, getting excellent blooms for years
I have tried nearly all brands of rose fertilizer. This one is the most reliable for getting maximum plant growth and blossoms. The biggest disadvantage is its application: It is best to dig around the plant before it is active in the spring, and mix this fertilizer into the soil. If you just put it on top of the soil, it still works, but you will need to reapply it during the summer, and some will run off into the surrounding soil, as is true for all fertilizers except for spikes. Spikes are not nearly as effective as this bag, though. When the winter is relatively mild, my blooming season is extended by 2 or 3 months if I use this product. Instead of 5 months, I have had as many as 8+ months of blooms, with mild weather. This past year was rough, so it is important to feed them as much as they can absorb. This does not burn.

Great Fertilizer
This is undoubtably my favorite flowering shrub fertilizer. Too bad it arrived all taped up from a leaking tear in the package.

Happy roses
Great price for a great product. I did some work on the rose bed soil this year. I had it tested and found my PH was way to low. I added some lime to get it in the correct range. Then I added 3 different blends of compost and the Espoma Rose Tone and the roses took off with a big growth spurt and then an exposion of blooms.. Now I am sure the PH was the biggest difference, but Espoma is still a well respected organic product and it played a role as well I would think.

Great rose food
I grow knock out roses and in the very early spring I shape them up a bit and then feed them with Rose Tone. My bushes grow full and produce roses into the fall. Wonderful product.
