Brake dust and oily grime collects around the lug nuts on any vehicle. Before the advent of the Corvette Wheel Lug Nut Cleaning & Polishing Brush, you had to use detailing swabs to tediously clean around lug nuts. The Corvette Wheel Lug Nut Cleaning & Polishing Brush has a round foam cleaning head that surrounds the lug nut to clean it entirely with one quick motion. In literally seconds, you can completely clean all the lug nuts on one wheel. The Corvette Wheel Lug Nut Cleaning & Polishing Brush has a T handle for easy operation. Give it a twist or two to completely clean the lug nut itself and the wheel cavity. The handle is notched so you can hang the brush on the edge of your wash bucket.

It works pretty well
Full disclosure: I am using this on a Scion FR-S and not a Corvette. So my experience might not be typical.Review:I bought this seemingly handy tool to clean the area of the wheels around my lug nuts. This design looked like it would work well, so I ordered one. It's a bit pricey for what it is. But when you're the only game in town, I guess you can charge whatever you want for it. I will say that the handle is very solid and does not feel cheap. The foam inserts are easy to slide in and out. It would be nice if there was a way to do a microfiber insert using the same handle. As for how they work, the do a decent job. Not perfect due to the foam typically just pushes up into the handle and it doesn't wrap around the lug nut. I find it hard to believe that the Corvette lugs are that much skinnier than the ones on my FR-S. So I would imagine that Corvette owners will have the same problem. That said, it does a better job and is not as harsh on the wheels than anything else I've tried. So I'll continue to use it.

OK if the dirt isn't extensive
In short, if you've been regularly cleaning your lug nuts and you're buying this to continue regular cleaning, this product should work fine and make the job easier versus using a sponge. In my case I have a 2010 Subaru Forrester and had not cleaned around the lug nuts for 3 years, so there was some pretty greasy dirt in there. This foam on this brush just wasn't firm or abrasive enough to get the job done, it removed about half of the dirt. It claims to remove "oily grime" but it didn't in my case, so I'm docking it one star for that.I'm docking it one more star because the foam bunches up when you use it, see the fix another reviewer mentioned using glue to keep the foam in place.Otherwise it works fine. I'm hoping I can get the grime off with something else and use this for maintenance.

Corvette Wheel Lug Nut Cleaning Brush
This works great on many different types of lugs. The sponges are a bit lightweight, and can break down from the accumulation of grease, tire preservatives, glazes, and shines. Because of this, subtract 2 stars. Good idea to rinse the sponges out in a utility sink under hot water after every couple of uses to prolong sponge life.

Not expensive, works great!
I used this for recessed lug nuts on my Jags. With Uber wheel cleaner the results are excellent.
