I bought this product cause my sister has been running this headset in car 3 years going on 4 and it have been working flawless, my personal experience, its simple to use, all the features works pretty good and easy accessible, with good speakers or even stock speakers that comes with the vehicle, this unit does a good job of giving you a nice quality powerful sound, the video playback is good as well,no audio lag, like my last headset where there was a slight audio delay from video to audio, installation is simple just read the manual, but there was one draw back on the instructions, they color coded 1 wire and names it back, turned out that Grey wire is for the reverse camera, they should of tag the wire and label it reverse camera input but other than that its a good headset

Received my BP Dakota a couple days ago. Packaging was undamaged and clearly new. I just popped it into my bezel and took the plastic screen cover off. Immediately noticed a couple Major issues with the glass on the display. The display is not flat and was built improperly. It has a large crease in it running from top to bottom. It has two bubbles in the bottom right corner, and the top right corner is not adhered to the frame well, and is lifting. When you push down on it, you can hear it sticking and unsticking. I tried to take pictures of these deformities, but the photos aren't doing a great job of showing it. This seems to be a quality control issue at blaupunkt and not an issue with the seller or Amazon. This could not be caused by improper installation.

This head unit (bp800) is really good for the price but the screen isn't calibrated very well and it had come problems over time with not starting. The lack of customization in the UI and lack of support isn't great either. I found out it's not actually made by blaupunkt but by another company and licensed by blaupunkt.

Very easy to install and also very easy to understand and navigate

Looks great, decent sound but poor touchscreen renders this head unit USELESS! Cannot change the radio station, cannot answer the phone, cannot change the volume, cannot use Android Auto Navigation because the touchscreen does not register. Do not make the mistake of purchasing this unit. Spend a little more $$ and purchase a reputable name brand head unit like Sony, Pioneer, Alpine, Kenwood, etc. This unit is going to cost me more to remove and install a new car stereo. Very disappointed.

After a couple of months I've decided I like it. Android Auto is a big plus, Leaves plenty of room behind it in the dash for wires. I'm not going to blame it for my ground loop noise but it did go away after installing EMI filter. Wish it had more wallpapers and a screen off function but for under $100 is doing it's job.

Unsure if there are any positives. Entry level device, no integrated GPS, relies on your phone. Too bright for the night time, dims very little. Reduces the volume on reverse... Does not sense vehicle speed, unable to adjust volume intuitively. Screen touch response is less than mediocre. Intermittent Bluetooth connectivity with my s21 Samsung. I will be replacing it, unhappy
