This book also needs to be copy edited.Here is an example from page 131 -"Two cards are drawn from a shuffled deck of 52 cards. What's the probability that both cards are Kings if the first card isn't replaced after it's drawn and is a King?"The published answer is for the initial probability that BOTH drawn cards are Kings - period. (4/52x3/51=12/2652)But the wording of the question is asking for the probability AFTER one King card has already been drawn. (3 out of 51 cards)Here is another example -"What 's the probability of rolling a 6 at least once in two rolls of a die?"The published answer is for the probability that one will roll a 6 BOTH times. (1/6x1/6=1/36)Why not just word it that way?Instead, the reader is thinking that there is a 1 in 6 chance the first time, plus a 1 in 6 chance the second time that one might roll a SINGLE 6.Math is important, but it's nothing if one cannot accurately convey the question at hand.

The description of this product is very misleading, and is useless for studying for the SHSAT. There is one practice test with lots of filler information, and some of the questions and information are either inaccurate or irrelevant to the SHSAT. This study guide helped me a lot, its the first one I completed so far, and while I don’t know my score for the SHSAT, I’m 99.9% positive it’s going to be high because of this book.

This book is helping my daughter. We study together and I’m learning as well since I haven’t been in school since 1996. Pretty detailed and informative.

My daughter takes it as homework.i think she just likes it .no spent too much time for the tv anymore.

Both study guides were useful and helped build important skills needed for the SHSAT. I would definitely recommend it to others because it covers a lot of topics for both ELA and math

I got this book for my son and he loves it. It is very organized and has all the things you need to know about the SHSAT. Great book!!

This book pretty much includes all the knowledge you need for the SHSAT, the tips for test, practice questions etc. Nice book I'd say.
