STINKS LIKE CHEMICALS!
I was excited to get this "organic" mattress for my 4 year old son until I took it out of the packaging and it stunk like chemicals. Why would you even make a mattress with organic materials just to pour chemicals on it? Major disappointment.

Smelled like a sheep
The futon smelled like a sheep - even after we aired it out. This is more of a futon than a mattress. We were happy to ship it back for a full refund.

Different than the first one, odd dimensions
Overall i like it. It's the same as the twin i bought, but a little... Less fitted. The first one filled out the cover quite tight. This one is still baggy after several weeks. It's also an odd dimension. It's a bit too wide for normal queen sheets. The end result is it never quite looks right made up.It's comfortable, and not loaded with chemicals. I prefer sleeping on mats though. It's not a traditional spring mattress feel.

Not true to size!
After following the directions on the manufactures website to allow the mattress expand for a full 48 hours before use, this is what it looked like in the associated photo. It is almost a full 10 inches short of the 80 inches needed for a true queen size mattress thus leaving a large portion of my bed frame open. Being a taller person this also resulted in me needing to sleep at an awkward diagonal angle to fit on this mattress. Finally, even after 48 hours this mattress expanded to between 5-6 inches, no a plump 7 as shown in the manufactures photos.

Mattress helped with my back problems
Oh my! What a difference a new mattress can make. My back feels better now. I read about this mattress on a review by the New York Times (I think this is the source) last year while searching for an affordable mattress to purchase. I'm very happy with my choice.

Firm but not flat
Firm but not flat, heavy, no need to be thicker.

Not a true king size
Was to short for my king size frame left it alone for two days and it didn’t fill out all the way on the edges.

Good for futon sleepers; high quality fill
My teenage son needed a new mattress and I felt that this might serve him well. Before I ordered I was happy to see in the product video that this mattress has inner coils and not just batting. After a week of sleeping on this mattress he has declared it lumpy and uncomfortable compared to a conventional mattress. I have slept on plenty of futons, some cheap, some decent, so I do think that for a futon style mattress this is outstanding -- but it's not sold as such. I don't think it's an adequate replacement for people who prefer to sleep on a regular mattress. This is designed just like a futon with heavy batting inside. The cotton and wool fill seem to be of very good quality, clean and odor free. There is also a shallow coil layer in the middle -- a feature of better futon mattresses. I thought that these coils might help redistribute weight for good support, but the batting is fairly heavy and thick and the coils don't do a whole lot to help. I imagine that the hardness would get worse over time as the cotton compresses even more. This even behaves like a futon mattress. When you pick it up in the middle of the edge the sides stay flopped down and only the center will pick up. It's like a droopy cat.The intervals where the batting is held together are threaded with a webbing type cord. It's fairly wide so where it pierces the mattress cover the fibers are torn to accommodate. Good quilting should weave between the fibers to prevent damage and preserve the integrity of the fabric. I worry that stress on the quilted points will tear the fabric of the cover even more with regular continual use.The aloe cover is nice to protect the mattress, however the labels says that it is 100% polyester and treated with aloe vera. I imagine the treatment would wash out with laundering. Additionally the aloe vera treatment is indeed soothing but only effective if directly on your skin and you don't use a bed sheet. I think too that it's counterproductive with the use of natural cotton and wool fill. Come to think of it, so is the 100% polyester cover of the mattress itself. Perhaps this should have been made as a true futon mattress with a natural 100% cotton cover too.I think overall this mattress is a bit of an odd hybrid. I truly think that that this needs to be sold as a futon alternative.
