Testing for gold at work
I use this for my job. I work for an auction house that sells jewelry. I use it to test any items that are marked as gold. It does a good job. Can test with battery or plugged in

Calibration
Product gives multiple readings after being calibration. Inconsistent when testing same item

eventually works but not easy to calibrate and use
You have to scratch the calibration disk every time you calibrate or it is not accurate. You also have to calibrate every so often in between testings. Even with this the reading jumps a lot and doesn't really settle in one spot-a little weird but does the job.

Did not work at all
I wanted to write a review that explained how great this was. However, when I went to use it, the machine did not work. I tried many troubleshooting tips from the manual to the company website. I did request a return and do plan to reorder. Hopefully, I will receive one that does as stated in the description and can. Change my review.

Can't use out of the box
This gold tester might be good I don't know I ordered it and then got it here and found out the only way to calibrate it is with buying another product why would you sell something that needs to be calibrated so much that you wouldn't send what it takes to calibrate it bad

a bit of a learning curve before I found it reliable, but in the end it works . wasn't happy about the fact that the calibration disk wasn't included in the kit .
