Axis Backpack - Lion King

I absolutely looooove this bag! The material is not like the other axis bags- (the coated canvas) it is more like a microfiber/suede type of material - the black part is nylon - the straps are thiner than the original axis bags but they have a little padding. The bottom insulated compartment is very large and fits icepacks and a lot of bottles- my little one is on “ready to feed” formula which is why I got this bad- it also makes the backpack bigger (length wise) but it does the job and i do not have to carry a bag and a bottle cooler - honestly the bag looks better on my husband, I’m only 5 feet tall so it looks huge on me. Anyway- I would love it if this bag was shorter and a tad bit wider- with more compartments. It only has one inside pocket, a front pocket, a back slip pocket and a side bottle pocket which is zipped all the way :( I’m still giving it 5 stars for the great quality and the large insulated compartment.

I really love this bag! Fits everything I need and is SUPER cute with great material. The only things I can say is that I wish it had more pockets or dividers on the inside. Also, the top part of the backpack kinda sinks down into the bottom cooler part of the Backpack making it a little hard to open the zipper when you’ve only got one hand available, not a huge deal. Overall I love it.

I purchased both the Boxy Backpack and the Axis Backpack in the beautiful Lion King Pattern; as I couldn't decide on the style I liked best --ultimately, both style bags left something to be desired and I returned both. Below I left my review for both bags.Outside Fabric (for both): The tan print material is smooth and butter rich like a fax leather, while the black is the traditional coated canvas. The color combinations and fabrics nicely compliment each other. This is by far the best part of the bag which made me disappointed to return them.Boxy Pros: Outside pattern & material, double zipper pull, 2 external bottle pockets, several pockets for internal organization, super long change pad, removable changing pad which allows for a "mom pocket", flap and zipper top closure for extra security, can be worn as a backpack or shoulder bag, padded seatbelt style backpack strapsBoxy Cons: jumbo size top flap which seemed cumbersome when accessing inside items, the shoulder strap does not detach which meant that it got in the way of accessing the main inside compartment when the strap is not in use and added weight, the back straps can not be tucked away when in use so they dangleBoxy In Short: Its had too many "extra's" (large flap, 3 straps, jumbo changing pad) that added extra weight and bulk.Axis Pros: outside pattern/material, double zipper pulls, large bag which is great for a full/long day, insulated compartment for snacks/bottles, padded seat belt style backpack strapsAxis Cons: one bottle pocket, interior bottle pocket takes up space inside of the bag, zero internal storage/pockets/organization, very largeAxis In short: I wish this bag had internal organization/pockets and external bottle pockets (I understand why ascetically it doesn't) It's a super large bag that will quickly become heavy because of the need to use additional organization bags and the desire to fill the bottom compartment. If you don't have a stroller to cary the extras or formula feed this bag might be great, but I opted to buy an insulated stroller bag for the food and not carry the weight which works great.Overall, the pattern was amazing, but the styles of the bags left much to be desired. My black ACE backpack (pictured) is the best of both worlds for my needs (3 external zippered compartments, 2 external bottle pockets, backpack style, light weight), and my plan it wait for another Disney release in this style bag.
