Bad batch?
Blu ray version simply does not play, second replacement and same issue, freezes after first trailer. Definitely not the player!

Fifty Shades Freed (DVD) with Dakota Johnson.
I so enjoyed the books... like with most books, when made into films, something special is lost. As in this case. What were important points in the book were left out or changed in the film. This surprised me seeing E.L. James had a hand in the film making of the last two films... I thought she would have stuck more to the books. There was no build up to any of the drama. The two main actors have improved in their acting, as they have settled down with each other and lets face it, some of the sexual scenes (especially in the books) must have been quite embarrassing to do in front of camera and floor crew. Now I have watched it, I will leave it for a month or so then watch all three DVD's again, as sometimes, you get a better flow by doing that. I often enjoy a book the second time around more and would up the stars given... same with films... I suppose it depends on the mood ones in at the time of watching/reading.

Unfortunately I cannot rate this movie. Bought it on pre-order back in March and received it on time on the day of its release. The blue ray box contains two disks, one blue ray is supposed to be the actual movie the other is a "bonus disk" in DVD format. The supposed blue ray with the movie was empty, playing stops just after the adverts and there's no disk menu, nothing. No movie. The other disk, the DVD only contains timelines and interviews and extra features.Result, our all girls movie night went bleah. Very disappointed

Freed - oh I hope so!!
I really wanted to enjoy this but oh dear. This was a disappointment from start to finish. Felt almost rushed as if cast, crew, director and everyone else involved had somewhere else they would rather be. It was infectious because part way through the movie I felt the same. I went and made a cup of tea rather than watch the resolution of the bank drama. By then I couldn't have cared less if Jack had murdered all the Grey clan. It's a real shame because Dakota Johnson did her best while poor Jamie Dornan never stood a chance with the pup of a script he was given. Thank goodness this rather tasteless trilogy is finished.

Faulty discs?!
Have ordered the DVD - it appeared faulty and had pixelated and stripy image at the beginning and for considerable time throughout the film. Contacted Amazon and was promptly sent a replacement disc - but it appeared to have the same issue (checked on my PC and DVD player, same issue everywhere). I got a refund from Amazon, so can’t fault them at all, but discs are obviously faulty - not worth £10.
