I bought two sets of these outdoor solar lights to hang from a permanent gazebo over a hot tub. They are of good quality, nice size bulbs (not too small) and, so far, have lit up every night automatically, even when we haven’t had much sunshine. They have several settings (like Xmas lights) but I prefer the lights to be static and not flashing! Easy to install. Very pleased with purchase. Would definitely recommend. UPDATE: I purchased two sets of these lights a year ago, so I have updated my review! The lights are no longer working, almost a year to the day! I have researched the possibilities of their failure and, although I stand by my review above, (they are gorgeous lights), I think that they do need to be switched off periodically to extend their lifespan, also if they are flashing rather than static, this may also drain the battery inside the panel. Maybe switch off when not in use or not required. I believe that the solar panel is no longer effective if it’s constantly being drained for hours. I am no expert, but may help extend their use?!

These lights let off lots of light once charged in the sun. Don't need direct sun just natural light. They're smaller than I expected but still looks reallt.good and does the job! .

The bulb itself looks robust and strong. I love how circular and shiny it is. It came with a peg for the solar to be easily installed in the ground. the solar panel, i would say between small and medium. I dont know if having a bigger solar panel could improve the brightness (mind you, i live in the UK and there's not much sun around here). The length of the lights didn't cover my garden unfortunately, probably they might want to lengthen the lights next time. The length of the wires for the soalr panel is a good length, it will reach the ground without compromising the lights. It is warm white therefore it will not be too bright. You also have different modes to choose from. I just wish that there is a remote controller for this, saves time turning it on or off. At present you have to manually do it. This can be used as a decorative dimmed lighting in the garden for parties, etc. The product itself is not bad. It feels well made and solar power is ok for a good few hours if left turned on. The lenth of the light is medium (i'm buying another one to cover my garden) and since the solar wire is long enough to reach the ground. It is actually good for its price. UPDATE: it has been raining and the solar lights still worked. It automatically starts. I am updating my star to 5 stars since it has proven to be a very good item to have

iihome 50 LED Solar String Lights These lights are well made & look lovely. I purchased the warm white version, they look lovely in our garden at night. We have these hanging around our flower garden, it looks just like a fairy garden at night - hence fairy lights I guess? The lights are surprisingly quite heavy for their size, each globe measures 20mm across, they are plastic but it's very thick, each globe contains hundreds of small bubbles in the plastic which give them a frosted glass appearance. Each globe contains a single LED white bulb which is sealed to stop any water entering the lamps. There are a total of 50 lamps spaced along a 22 foot cable. The solar panel is quite small but very heavy for it's size, this contains advanced batteries (800mAH) which should give 10 hours of illumination when fully charged. The solar panel/battery pack measures just 65mm across, it is screwed together and well sealed to keep out water. On the rear are 2 sealed buttons (rubber covered). One switch operates on/off, the other is a mode selection switch which selects a static light or 7 various flashing modes. On the base is a small slot where the provided ground stake is attached for mounting the solar panel on the lawn or other suitable area. These fairy lights are well made, I'm confident they will stand up to a lot of wind and rain as they do seem to be well sealed. At night-time they really do look pretty in the garden, giving off plenty of light to help illuminate our pathway for visitors. These look lovely, are good quality & are good value for money - Highly recommended! These are good lights and look nice. They have been out everyday in all weather. But bit by bit the bulbs have stopped working and they are not replaceable. Down to less than 10 working bulbs and taken them down. Shame because the Solar panel and battery seem really good. Writing this 18 months after purchase. If you are going to only bring them out for short periods they will last a long time, but not if in constant use.

These are wonderful little lights! They're much smaller than I expected, got a shock when I opened the box, but I'm so thankful for this now that they're up! The small lights look so classy and they blend in to the garden a dream, not obvious and cheap looking at all like some leftover party decoration! The lights are nice and bright without being blinding and they're a gorgeous, warm golden colour which I really like and matches my up-lights a treat (Meikee solar lights... Also amazing!). There's a lot of modes with these lights, though I'm not sure I'll use them all. They're pretty cool, but I just like them when they're 'on'. You can't help but stand back and admire them! The string is really long too, longer than expected (I never measure anything... Husband goes mad!!) but that was a lovely surprise, it makes them really good value in my opinion. They feel like top quality too, but they've only been up a week so I guess time will tell, but so far so good! I love them so much I'll be ordering more for sure. Definitely recommend!!

The two strings of bulbs looked amazing and produced a lot of light. However, after twelve months of constant use both strings no longer work. In reviews, I see that another buyer has had the same experience. Perhaps they would be fine for only periodic use.
