Works
Helped with the pain. First few days wearing, it caused my toes to be sore. But you get used to it. Just wash daily to keep clean. You can have it fit comfortably in your shoes. The jelly is pretty soft, so I can see it not lasting forever and there already some signs of wear and tear. But it’s comfortable for me and does the job.

Game changer for plantar fasciitis and bunion
I have a big ol bunion on my right big toe that my podiatrist wants to do surgery on, but I'm not so excited about that and wanted to at least keep it from getting worse. I also have plantar fasciitis on that same foot. I didn't honestly expect much from these because I have tried overnight toe separator socks before, but these can be worn during the day and it makes a HUGE difference. Not only is my bunion actually appearing to get better, but these reduce the amount of plantar pain I get from walking. I have worn it so far for weight training, walks, cardio on the elliptical and dance aerobics. They stay in place and work well. My advice is to build up to it slowly, a couple hours at first, and up to a full day over the course of a week or so. It was a bit of an adjustment at first but after a week I prefer to wear them, it just feels like my foot is in a better position. Thanks for this awesome tool, and good luck to all of you out there with bunions and foot pain! I hope this helps you too.

Satisfied. Detailed review of my experience/use
I purchased these for my two big, hereditary bunion toes. I wear them on my big toes. They have massively helped my toe-position, increasing the space between my big/index toes as my doctor prescribed. Seriously, nothing was working. It helped with my other muscular issues like shin splints, patella (kneecap) pain, pronation (my feet and ankles don't stand/walk flat, instead they roll inwards), and possibly plantar fasciitis (the bottom/arch muscle of the foot). Most days, I am in zero pain (with the proper footwear that is properly maintained, like good running shoes for work and exercise). I can and do wear them with all shoes and barefoot (I don't advise walking barefoot in general - see my other foot/muscle issues!) I wear mine with socks and heels. They don't roll around despite heavy activity or walking barefoot; they stay put.The only cons:I know people complain endlessly that these are "too tight," they may feel that way at first. But I got used to it and they feel like they have stretched out. I broke them in by wearing them for short periods at a time.Rather delicate. I broke the first pair after everyday use for six months or more. I was a bit rough on them, knowing I had a second pair and I wanted to see just how quickly they would/could break. The second pair has lasted much longer. This is the first set (of two pairs) I've ever purchased. They do discolor dark gray/black when you walk barefoot or in socks. I solve this by always putting the 'dark' side (once it develops) down between my feet and the ground so the top is always the lighter side.Since bunions cause wider feet, if you're not buying wider shoes (like me), you may run into problems wearing toe spreaders in regular width shoes. It's more an issue of width and height if that matters. The spreaders are not tall above/around my toes.Like wearing a brace (for your back or your knee, wherever), your body will become dependent on wearing toe spreaders. Unfortunately, I used to try to tape my toes using Kinesio tape to grow the space between my big/index toes with limited success and I had the same problem with less results. Unless there's a way to wean yourself off toe spreaders (or tape) to strengthen your muscles and joints to hold their new position, like me, you will probably have to wear them constantly, 24/7. I can't not wear them for even 15 minutes simply sitting or standing without pain. This has resulted in friction and dirt rubbing my skin off and causing painful tears between my big/index toes. I have to wash them occassionally with hand soap and water (which helps a little with the discoloration). I may go back to taping to 'wean' my toes off the spreaders (I don't think taping and wearing the spreaders would work, though). My bunions are likely caused my more muscular issues than just the toes themselves, so solving the toe issue may not solve everything else for me, personally.Obviously, you can't wear thong sandals with these. I've tried for short walks and managed just fine (of course, they look ridiculous and I wouldn't want to wear thong sandals and toe spreaders all day or out in public) so that limits my shoe options. People with foot/toe problems probably shouldn't be wearing thong sandals anyway (as a support issue). As an active person, I of course wear toe spreaders when I do Crossfit and running. The only issues I have occassionally is when the angle (of running, jump rope, or going from flat-footed to on my toes) hits the toe spreader 'wrong.' It almost causes a bit of a foot cramp if you don't have time to adjust it.

Does the job, but lifespan is 2 weeks
I am using the item exactly as shown in the photo, on the 2nd toe. It does not hold its grip, and by week 2, the hole has stretched out and it no longer stays on. When you buy, just realize that you will be tossing them every couple weeks. If I were going to redesign them, I'd make them a little wider, so they cover more of the toe.

Pliable soft and firm enough to seperate.
Great..Fits in shoe, or sandals or flip flops and often being from semi tropical climate go barefooted.Keeps toes apart. Only thing is that you have to turn it to right position about 4 times day.. and I wear them 24 hrs and sleep with it.. doesn't fall out or bother me sleeping

Easy to use.
They are comfortable, separate my toes nicely, easy to use. The only drawback I have is that it will slides off my toe when I sleep.
