Scissors work great for Bonsai pruning
These work great, fit good in my hand and easy to use. I have used them only once so far but they look like they will last a long time, pretty sturdy.

They are specialty scissors, not pruners, and not meant for cutting cloth, cardboard or 3/8" stems!
I liked the metal handles, and the nice open design so my hand/fingers aren't cramped in. I like that they are sharp. The kind of metal used holds an edge and is easier to sharpen than stainless, but you need to care for it or it will rust. Wipe it off while using and when done clean and oil it. Please don't use them for projects around the house! First of all, the blades are too short for cutting material, wires, or cardboard and you will dull the blades and get frustrated. Pick the right tool for the project. These are for plant trimming not pruning; removing small twigs, cutting small roots or leaves or flowers and fruit stems, etc. The point lets you get in close in tight plant for quick and clean snips. If you care for the tool and use it appropriately, it is a good tool. Think bonsai work, not machete or pruner. The reason I gave a 3 star on ease of use and sturdiness is that you do have take care of them more than stainless options, and if you abuse them and try to force or cut too hard of materials, they will bend and you won't be able to use them for what they were designed to do.

Heavy duty and work well for pruning.
These sheers work great for pruning and also for small projects. They are made of steel and will hold up for many years. I liked these so well I reordered another pair to make sure to have them for many years.

fabulous Clippers!
I have had another pair of these that I used for years. In my recent move, my old ones got lost and these have been a great replacement. They are easy to use, fit the hand well ,and are not too heavy. I do a lot of plant work and Bonsai and these clippers are the best. I highly recommend them.

Not great, but can be improved
Metal quality so far is good, but these being high carbon steel, they will be prone to rust if not left with a thin oil coating. When they arrived they were way too loose for my liking. It is assembled using a peened over bolt. With a few taps of my ball peen hammer, I was able to tighten it up and it cuts better as well. Cheap price, so I can't complain too much. They'll due until I get the stainless version. I'd give it a 3.5 stars if I could because they are above average. I'd recommend them for those on a budget.
