This cd was recommended by someone from YouTube as a good sounding cd album! I gave it a try on YouTube...and was amazed... in reality the cd played on proper cd player will blow you away with the quality of the live recording...feels like you are there. And by the way... my Rotel cd player recognized this cd as a HDCD ... so slightly more dinamic range.

I question whether this is a remastered version, because on the details listed by Amazon, it is supposed to have 2 tracks remixed from the Modern Cool album.The version I recieved has the same track listing as the original and the same issue date of 1999.I would say if I was a betting man that I was snookered into buying a reissue of the original with no remastering or extra tracks as stated by Amazon.

I happen to have all of PB's CDs. This is my favorite (yes, even better than Cafe Blue). The sound quality is surreal. Her background players create an ambience and soundstage that are superbly atmospheric. And the songs stick in your memory like krazy glue. "Like JT", "Let It Rain", "A Touch of Trash" among others. Not a bad song here, so it's win-win.Only drawback: why the steep price??

I came late to the great talents of Patricia Barber. This 1999 taster is the best in any genre I have heard this year. A real treat. She should be appreciated more in the UK.
